Mixed feelings about this place. We chose it based on ithe recommendation in the 2018 lonely planet. Staff were very friendly and genuinely helpful, such good people, and location and breakfast were great. But the shower didn’t work. And everything was a bit rundown. Next time we’d just pay a bit more for somewhere better.

location was great as it was close to the Central Market but far enough away that it was quiet at night. it's within walking distance of everything in Hoi An actually. my room was very clean and got quite cool with the air con and the fan. the mattress was NOT comfortable. i had to put an extra blanket down on it to soften it up a bit. the pool was very refreshing but there wasn't a lot of shade for lounging in the chairs until late in the afternoon. the marble pool deck was incredibly slippery (and the same applied to the shower in my room). i don't know why people use such a dangerous material when building hotels but it happens all over Asia. the breakfast was ok. i did like the fresh coffee and juices as well as the omelette station. there is a water jar in the restaurant and they will use it to refill your own water bottles. they don't make this public so i am doing so now. the staff was very kind and helpful with every interaction we had. they also went out of their way to help me call my transfer company to get to Danang airport! pro tip: use the hotel airport transfer service even if it costs $12 more. just do it.

Comfortable - good value nice hotel
Comfortable hotel in a very good position at the edge of the old city. Very good breakfast - fresh and with a lot of choice. Swimming pool nice at the end of a long day. Good value.

This hotel was beautiful! It was only a short walk to restaurants and sites, but still very quiet and peaceful. The pool was lovely and very much appreciated on hot afternoons. A/C in the room worked great! The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Ha An Hotel if you're planning a trip to Hoi An.

Friendly welcome in Hoi An
Staff were lovely and so helpful. Room was fairly spacious with ceiling fan & aircon. Private Outside seating area attached to the room. Breakfast large selection considering the hotel size, with freshly cooked omelette &a pancake. Lots of fresh fruit. Nice compact pool and a pool table. Variety of outside seating areas. My 2nd visit to this hotel. Great location for town, free bikes to get to the beach (about 5km). Only improvement would be bathroom, mirror needed repair but only minor.

Great place with excellent vibe in perfect location. Overall place is in good condition but could need some maintenance work here and there. The breakfast is the low point - almost no options and little choice. We ended up eating in the cafe nearby.

Great location with coffee houses and restaurants everywhere. Quiet and roomy courtyard, pool and lovely breakfast area. Room was large and the bed very comfortable. Nice staff.

I liked the design of the hotel and the area. It was walking distance from the night market and the japanese bridge. Very very nice. Also, the restaurant had nice breakfast buffet (free) and good food for lunch. The staff was very nice and arranged a private tour to Ba Na Hills. I did not like that the toilet seat wouldn't stay up so you had to hold it.

The hotel has a tropical courtyard and is close to town, so it has a great atmosphere. The staff are very kind. Our room was clean, but small with old fixtures. Shower was hot and strong, but when we left the room, we found that we had drenched the floor in the common hallway because the shower has an open, slatted window that sent water outside the room. Oops. Breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about.

We moved hotels
The hotel itself is well presented with nice gardens and a small pool. Sadly our room was awful. It initially seemed fine when we dropped off our bags and went out. When we returned and put on the air con the sound was like metal sheets being dragged along the floor. We could not use it. The double bed was two singles pushed together which many places do. Sadly the mattress had wood inside around the edge making the centre of the bed very uncomfortable. The blanket was also not big enough to stretch across the bed. The room was on the ground floor next to reception and poorly insulated. It was possible to hear around and above. We were told the hotel was full and it was not possible to move rooms. The staff were not able to contact the manager. We were told that we could speak to the manager in the morning. Sadly in the morning the manager was not available and we were told she was not on site. Expedia tried to contact the hotel for us but got no answer. When staff did contact the manager by phone she refused to speak to us. Through the reception staff she would not accept that we should have a refund and would only agree to refund for our future nights. Despite us explaining we had already spoken to Expedia who had refunded us and we just wanted to pay for the airport transfer we were forced to explain over and over again the issues. The staff member would then call the manager who would refuse to accept that the refund had been given.

Thank you for your review which we were aware in advance. We welcomed you at around 04:00 p.m. for 04 nights stay. You checked in room without any comment. And the room we assigned is the rooms was check out on the date by the previous guest with 06 nights stay, no comment during their stay and enjoyed their stay. Then 11.30 p.m. midnight you turned to our receptionist and complaint about the bed, air condition... we wish we could have room to move in the midnight as we were full and said we would upgrade your room to Deluxe ( you booked standard room) for the rest 03 nights. In the early morning next day weekend, you suddenly wanted to check out. We understand that, different guest has different feeling and experience. Respect your feeling, your complaint we agreed to let you check out without charge cancellation charge. It means that we lost the rest 03 night revenue of this room as we reserved this room for you for a long time and no chance to sell to other guests. HOWEVER, YOU DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THE FIRST NIGHT YOU STAYED. How can you do that? HOW CAN THE MATTRESS HAVE WOOD INSIDE MS. JUDITH? Sure you booked and paid to Expedia so you are right when talked to them. Sorry, we have welcomed thousand of thousand guests, they are so lovely and understanding. We also totally have upsetting experience when welcomed guest like you. Anyway, thank you for your comment

Stayed here for five nights, and it was a perfect location for exploring the old town. I can only echo other reviews about the excellent service, friendly staff, lovely garden and great breakfast. And because we were staying for a while, we were upgraded after two nights which was very much appreciated.

Charming & historic hotel!
What a beautiful historic hotel! The grounds are gorgeous and the pool is refreshing. This hotel had a nice blend of old and new. For example, it keeps its old-world charm but the bathrooms are updated. We enjoyed sitting on our porch and looking at the gardens. There is greenery everywhere. The staff is proud and takes immaculate care of everything. I saw a staff member walk by the pool and reach in to grab a fallen leaf. Our first night, we were having some problems with the air conditioning. They moved us to another room with no problems. And on our last morning, we had an early flight so they made us a grab and go breakfast - incredible service! We loved that the hotel was quiet - and yet, so close to the action in Hoi An! I would 100% stay here again!!

When we arrived at the hotel the staff went out of there way to help us. My son had trouble in his room with the air conditioner so they changed him to another room. Over all we were very happy. Great position great facilities and lovely staff

Great spot
This hotel is a comfortable stay very close to town. Great for travelling in groups. The staff here are so lovely and helpful, genuinely lovely people. Some of the older rooms have a black mold issue and need extraction fans.

Brilliant boutique hotel
Ha an is a lovely boutique hotel. The deluxe room was spacious and the bathroom large. We loved our stay there The Resturant was also very good and worth staying one evening in to have a meal

Very nice hotel in excellent location
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was good with nice little balcony looking over the rest of the hotel. Its not as large as it looks on the photos and staff english needs improving but there is a fantastic little restaurant with high quality breakfast available. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and pretty close to everything. Highly recomnend this hotel.

A hotel of excellence
I don’t often post reviews but felt inclined to share my great experience staying at the excellent Ha An Hotel. From the moment I was collected at the airport by their local driver, I knew I had pleasant stay in store. Greeted with a welcome drink and smooth check in, I spent the next 3 nights in comfort with first class service and attention to detail. I had 2 rooms over the course and both had personal touches that made this stay one of my happiest in Asia.

We enjoyed staying in the Ha An hotel, the location is very handy and the garden and pool are lovely and quiet after spending time in the Old Town. We made good use of the bikes that are available. Breakfast is pretty good too

Highly recommend for Hoi An
Love the hotel, great service and location for walking to the market and old town. Breakfast was delicious. Room was a bit humid and beware of mosquitos
