"This is a very unsafe house due to the driveway being very steep and off a VERY busy road. The instructions provide on how to park are all incorrect and inaccurate. The listing is incorrect and says there is a hot tub and a the cowboy which is inaccurate. The house is very dated, barely any cookware, the countertops are butcher block which is very un sanitary, the refrigerator does not have any storage space due to all the shelves are missing. The bathroom had a cracked sink, the downstairs was very noisy due to the filtration system for the cowboy, the decks are very old and have broken wood panels.The main floor windows have no coverings so the room would get very hot in the late afternoon and you could not watch TV due to the glare. I would NEVER recommend this house to anyone. I am also very disappointed with VRBO and the fact that they did nothing for me due to that the property manager lied about there being a traditional hot tub. The only decent thing about this house is the view but in a few months the lake levels will be down again so for sure ask for pictures prior to booking because the pictures on the actual listing are wrong."

"The beds were horrible not comfortable at all. The front desk guy was not nice at all. Then I left a necklace in the bathroom and I called for it and they are saying they didn’t find it and I know I left it on accident. That means the housekeeper kept it and didn’t turn it in. I even asked the lady when I called to ask the housekeepers if they had cause I worked at a hotel before being a housekeeper and we would leave things on our "

"The view, especially at sunset is absolutely beautiful. With the gorgeous building and the view of the water, it felt like we were in the Mediterranean. The host was attentive, accommodating and kind. The space was clean, had everything we needed and then some. The parking was a little tricky for the unit we were in but definitely workable and absolutely worth it! It is in a neighborhood but close to great restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. It was nice to be able to run quickly for things without having to sit in Austin traffic while being close enough to activities and points of interest to make it convenient. "

Jeff went over and above, spending 20 minutes touring the spacioushome and grounds upon check-in.Alot of fun things for the 16-25 kid age range... instruments, games, telescopes and room to wander (600' of lake frontage to explore). Place sleeps 2x the # we had (8). Only regret is not being too busy elsewhere in Austin to spend more time at the castle. "

"This property had everything we needed for my family of 5. We felt at home as soon as we got there. It was clean and the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The view was beautiful, the weather was perfect & the pool was a great way to spend our lazy days at. It’s the perfect location to where you can get away from it all but then it’s a short drive to Austin where there are lots of things to enjoy. We had a small issue with the pool heater coming on when not requested, but the property manager was in constant communication with us and so helpful and friendly when trying to figure it all out. We’ve stayed at many VRBO homes in the past and this has been one of the best experiences we’ve had. If we are ever in the area again, we’d stay here for sure!"
