"This is a decent place. The room was very clean but in need of a major makeover. Everything is outdated… I understand that this motel suffered a devastating fire a year or two ago and there is lots of work going on in the front of the building we were in. Hope when they complete the rebuild, they will update the older rooms. But overall, I’d stay there again."

"The Captain's House in Machiasport was a beautiful getaway! It was very relaxing. With lots of windows toward the water side and no other buildings between us and the water, it was truly a magical place. There were few buildings at all in that area. The house, especially the kitchen, was well equiped. There were several sitting rooms with comfortable furniture. The patio was comfortable to sit on and had lovely views at all times of day. Thank you for a wonderful vacation."

"The hosts have thought of everything. It is beautiful and the decor is unique and wonderful. It is located in a convenient location. Make sure to walk down to their little slice of beach which was quiet and had groups of seals playing the whole time we sat there. House is a-little small so really best for two - maybe three people tops (as far as sleeping arrangements). But the outside space makes it seem bigger when you are staying there."

"If you’re looking for peace, quiet and solitude, don’t look any further than this “seaside sanctuary “. This is our third time renting from Stacey and we hope to return again some day. The views from each of the decks will be etched in our minds forever. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails in the nearby area, as well as some very good restaurants. Stacey is always quick to respond to any questions you may have. Thank you for renting to us."
Gardner Lake Home: Amazing views private and quiet 150' of private frontage

"The camp was bright and clean with modern amenities. Beautiful view over the lake from the home. The lake was so peaceful accessible down over some rocks. Once there the water was warm , clear and perfect for swimming from beach or dock. The Deck and patio were well designed for enjoying the peaceful retreat. Our host was welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend for families and couples, particularly those traveling with pets as the home, small enclosed yard and deck were secure and generous."
