Very clean, accesible walking distance to a lot, including attraction, Food, laundry, shopping. Love the cabin feel, the View from the upstairs windows is magical. Clean and equipped with everything needed.
Very cute little boutique hotel, tucked into the San Blas neighborhood. Awesome location, very friendly and plenty of space for our family of 4. We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at a fantastic apartment with our family of six. The location was perfect, just 7 minutes from the Cuzco Plaza. The apartment was clean, safe, and had incredibly comfortable beds, making it very cozy for all of us. Our wonderful host ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommend!
We loved staying at Casona La Recoleta! We were traveling with 4 children, and this hotel was perfect. There was a loft with beds for the kids and a second bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with food every morning, which was super convenient and good. We would have stayed here the entire week, but they were booked the second half of our stay. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cusco. It was an easy walk to the Plaza de Armas, and all the shops and restaurants. The street is narrow where it is located, but added to the charm of how amazing it is once you get inside with lush vegetation and not much noise. We could even see the light up cathedral from our balancing.
I felt brilliant for choosing this place for my husband and I. Great little apartment with everything we needed. Even a machine to make fresh orange juice with the oranges in the fruit bowl in the kitchen. Every afternoon the staff would bring eggs, bread, yogurt, fruit, jam, butter, cheese and more for our breakfast the next day. It was so nice to prepare our own breakfast when we wanted to vs having to get up and get dressed to go to a dining room. I cannot recommend this place enough. Also, it is away from the noice of the square but so close so walking here was not an issue. You must stay here!!
What a gem! To be honest the pictures don’t do it justice and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included but is a do it yourself which was perfect for us because some of our tours started at 4:30am. They restocked everyday with fresh bread, fruit, yogurt, tea. They even came to light the fireplace every evening. The view of Cusco was also beautiful. It was a short 8 minute walk to the plaza de armas. It is located on a small street where the sidewalk only fits one person so if you are coming with small children or a stroller you may want to consider taking a taxi. For reference we had an apartment for 6ppl. It was very cozy and the water pressure and temperature was heaven!
Augustin was AMAZING. We arrived late due to a medical emergency, and he was there to greet us and open the gate for us on arrival. There is no parking on site, and the parking nearby was closed when we arrived, so Augustin hopped in the car and helped us with the parking! He insisted on carrying all of our luggage to and from the room, and when we left very early in the morning he was there to help us load the car. What a gem. The property itself is very nice, and our room was huge with one private bedroom and a loft. There was fresh bread, cheese, yogurt, cereal, and a giant bowl of fruit waiting for us when we arrived! That was amazing since it was late at night and we were exhausted from a long drive. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of sightseeing and shopping. I wish we could have stayed longer.
I stayed with my 3 teenagers for about 5 days. The room was awesome--two story with a loft second floor. First floor had a kitchenette, living room w tv, dining table and 4 stools, bedroom with door that locked, and bathroom. Loft floor had 3 twin beds and a bathroom. Balcony on first floor, too. It was close to the Plaza de Armas, only a few minutes walk. Safe area. Very small sidewalks and no parking, plus steps inside, so not good for wheelchairs. But the service was excellent! The room was cleaned daily and food was replenished each evening--eggs, cheese, butter, jelly, fruit, coffee, tea, yogurt, and fresh bread (delicious!). The kitchen had an electric kettle for tea and instant coffee (provided). Bottled water was brought to us when requested (very affordable at 2 soles/bottle). Pretty gardens on site. Reception arranged taxis for us to and from the airport and train station as needed at no extra cost (in fact, they negotiated a better price than we could). The neighborhood was quiet and easy to sleep in. We had hot water when we showered, so that was good.
CON: one negative was that the bathrooms were a little smelly if we didn't open the bathroom windows, so definitely leave them open as much as possible. But with the windows open/the door closed, it was fine.
My kids loved this hotel! We would definitely recommend it.
Wow! What a beautiful place. Augustin welcomed us with a friendly smile and personal service and made sure we were comfortable, well taken care of and he even got the fireplace started for us. The place is wonderful and the accommodations for 6 people were beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this place and we will for sure be staying here next time we are in Cusco. They went beyond our expectations.
This place was spacious. We had a kitchenette, a sitting area with a wood burning fireplace, a separate bedroom on the first floor and a loft with 3 beds. It was nice to make tea in the room, they had a variety of tea bags plus dried coca leaves. They also had a basket of fruit. They delivered items in the evening to make breakfast the next day. Since we didn't have time, we ate the bread with butter and preserves/cheese
Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima in the morning. The staff told me to bring the oxygen mask and seek medical help at the airport. Indeed, her blood oxygen level dropped quickly again once we arrived at the airport. We were able to get medical assistance at the airport and the doctor was able to release her with wheelchair assistance to board the flight. The situation was very dangerous and scary. I cannot imagine how bad this could be if it was because of their immediate assistance. Although I did not spend much time at the property, I can attest to its care for its guests. Also, the water pressure was strong with sufficient hot water for shower. They sent a huge basket of fresh fruits, and leave breakfast ingredients (eggs, cheese, milk) in the fridge. You may ask them to start the wood burning fireplace at 8pm. Very cute and quaint place! 100% recommended!
What a unique and comfortable place to base our stay in Cusco for our family of 6! The gardens in the courtyard were so beautiful, and even featured a resident parrot (Adobe). Wonderful property manager who was so responsive.
Great location. In between Plaza de Armas and San Blas. Balcony has very nice view of the city. Bathrooms are clean and hot water. Complementary luggage storage. The hotel booked our pick up and drop off service to the airport and reserved covid testing. It was very convenient. Fresh fruit and eggs delivered every day.
You cook your breakfast. 1 slice of ham is stingy.
It's tucked away in a super narrow street. We had trouble finding it at first.
One thing to mention...
"Breakfast" is 2 eggs/peron, 1 slice of ham/peron, 2 pieces of bread/person and some fruits that you must cook yourself in the room.
If I had known that I was going to cook every morning, I wouldn't have booked this place.

This was our favourite property in all of Peru! It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The kids were upstairs in the spacious loft and we had the master on the main floor. The wood burning fireplace was perfect on the cool mornings and chilly mountain evenings. I have the fondest memories of our time here. Coming back after an adventurous day in Cusco was a welcome reprieve. The fresh squeezed orange juice and provisions provided daily were also a nice perk.
