Perfect setting

This house was perfect for our adult family of 8. Plenty of space, the pool looks over the beautiful rolling fields of southern France. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, very easy to work with.

Beautiful barn conversation

We loved our stay at this property. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the owners have done a fantastic job restoring the old barn into accommodation. Alain and Sylvie are helpful, friendly and really thoughtful in making sure we all had a lovely stay. There are lots of interesting places to visit in the area - you definitely need a car though. We highly recommend this as a place to stay!

Très belle maison, grand charme ... Piscine chauffée et nous avons pu en profiter. Accueil très agréable. Marché de Revel à proximité.Il fait faire un peu plus de route pour accéder à de hauts lieux touristiques comme Albi, Toulouse, Soreze etc.

Petit paradis

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette belle maison rénovée au milieu des champs. Paisible et conviviale. La maison est assez grande pour qu’à 9, nous ne nous sommes pas marché les uns sur les autres. Un havre de paix pour se relaxer et déconnecter.

Tres bien

Le gîte est très grand et confortable. Nos hôtes très sympatiques et avenants. Piscine chauffée, fort agréable, après une journée de visite, pour se detendre. Nous etions entre amis et avons bien profité du lieu. Calme assuré. On a quand même besoin de la voiture pour faire des courses.

Summer holidays with 3 family's (12p)

Sylvie and Alain are wonderfull hosts. They live next door and are always ready to help with any question or problem. The surroundings are stunning. We loved watching the sunset from within the swimming pool. The large covered terrace is a blessing in the warm climate. There is shadow all day long. We would have liked some pillows on the chairs (at the terrace and at the pool) to be a bit more comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our holidays and absolutely recommend this house. Thank you for your service, Sylvie and Alain! We hope to see you again :-)

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires. La maison est très bien équipée et propose un bel espace commun et une cuisine bien équipée. Le grand jardin sans vis a vis dispose d'une magnifique vue dégagée sur la campagne. En bref, nous y avons passé un séjour entre amis à 12 dans des conditions optimales et très agréables. Merci

Beautiful views, peaceful stay

The property is a beautifully renovated barn which adjoins the owner's big old stone farmhouse. The interior is well proportioned for multiple occupancy - we were two families with four children ranging from 7-14 and the accommodation was ample for those numbers. It is extremely well appointed with matching crockery, cutlery and a wealth of cooks' tools like blenders. Since one of our numbers is a keen cook, this was very welcome. There is an issue - as previously noted - with the soundproofing from one of the twin rooms to the large double ensuite downstairs. We jiggled the children around to overcome this but if you have noise sensitive adults or light sleepers then they need to go upstairs. The owner was very attentive during our stay and was on top of all the Covid 19 cleaning and sanitising precautions, which we were pleased to note. I believe this meant that the books, DVDs and games which are listed had been removed, so during the pandemic you may want to bring extras if you want entertainment. A welcome pack of milk, eggs, bread and juice would have been welcome - especially for those, like us, who had had a 24 hour journey by car. With check in at 6pm it does mean that there is no time to go and find a supermarket and you will need to stock up before you arrive. The pool is particularly lovely (and heated) and we made much use of this every day. It has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. It is worth noting, as it is not particularly clear from the listing, that this is a shared facility with the owner and his grandchildren who used it when we weren't (even if we were still around the property) and this meant we didn't always feel as secluded and private as we would have liked. We had a wonderful stay. Close to shops and only an hour's drive to Carcassonne. Thank you!
