Horse stable transformed into romantic cottage, Le Nid des Oiseaux
Holiday home L'Ecurie, suitable for 2 to 3 people, is part of the domaine "Le Nid des Oiseaux", consisting of 4 holiday homes. The Ecurie is a stylishly furnished home and is originally the stable that has been rebuilt, without losing its original features, such as enamelled manger and racks. It now serves as a very romantically decorated holiday home and is located on the shared courtyard and garden. The kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, 4-burner stove, extractor hood, refrigerator and coffee maker. and the necessary kitchenware and crockery. The dining area with round table and 4 chairs and lounge with large comfortable sofas are on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find the very spacious, comfortable and romantic bedroom with a bed of 1m60x2m00 and a small single bed and there is also the bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Outside you will find the outdoor shower with toilet and washbasin behind the door with the clover.
Due to the central location of Cubjac, many day trips are possible in the region. The prehistoric cave of Lascaux, the castle of Hautefort, the middle-class cities such as Périgueux and Sarlat are just a few of the many highlights of the Dordogne that can be reached quickly and easily from Le Nid des Oiseaux.
Every Friday morning there is a market in Cubjac, where the local producers display their wares such as honey, goat cheese, eggs, meat, fruit and vegetables. In the summer there are special evening (food) markets everywhere where you can figure out what you want to eat, this is prepared for you and then you slide to the long tables, to taste these delights.
In addition to the cultural and culinary highlights of the Dordogne, the beautiful hilly nature also offers many sporting activities. In this way you can walk or cycle very well in the surrounding area. Canoeing is also possible on the Auvézère and you can play tennis in the village nearby. For a cultural, sporting or culinary holiday and for a stay in a calm, unique and very authentic place, this domaine Le Nid des Oiseaux in the Dordogne is an absolute must !

We stayed for three weeks at the converted stable, it was simply beautiful but also very functional, well equipped and everything worked well. Comfortable bed, lovely sofas. Garden is lovely with various private spaces to sit. Village is small but does have a bar/tabac and bakers. Small Friday market with local produce. Lots to see within an hours drive. Gerda, our host was super, she helped us and gave great information on places to go and see. We had an amazing time and big thanks to Gerda!!

Heerlijk vakantie in authentiek huisje
Gerda, bedankt!
