40th Birthday Getaway!

We had an amazing time at this property! The proximity to the free shuttle to town and base of Mt. Crested Butte was unbeatable! Seemed like a great deal for the price we paid in peak season.

Spring break ski trip!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The location was superb (just a block to the ski area) and the pool was great for the kids! The hotel is a little dated but we didn't mind that at all. The burner didn't work, but Jon provided an electric burner (in the cabinet below) which was a good substitute. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay with my 13 and 11 yo. Location to shuttle and ski mountain are easy. Kids enjoyed the pool multiple times a day. Easy access to the room by all with a keypad, didn't have to worry about who had the key. Able to cook basic meals in the room. Would stay again for sure.

Great stay at created butte

Great stay overall. We had a minor issue getting in and the host resolved it immediately, which was a relief.The room and building had everything needed. Small restaurant in the lobby (not fancy but convenient), steam room, heated indoor/outdoor pool great for kids and hot tub.The slopes were a 5-7min walk from the lobby and several options to store gear.Would definitely stay again!

Clean and modern unit in a great location

Great unit at a central lodge in Mt. Crested Butte. The building itself could use some updating, but the unit was in great shape and had all that we needed for a great stay for a couple of nights in shoulder season. You can't beat the location for skiing, mountain biking and hiking.

We’ve stayed in Grand Lodge previously and though it is not Francy we feel it’s safe and is very centrally located. The unit we were in this time was clean and pleasant. We were quite pleased and comfortable.

Super convenient and all we needed

Very easy to get to the mountain, especially with the free ski valet at the base. The accommodations were all we needed and were quiet, Two king sized beds were comfy, plenty of space to put our ski clothes and the mini kitchenette was fine (although the teeny freezer needed defrosting, nothing fit in there). We enjoyed the fitness area and hot tub as well.

Great value

The value is hard to beat, as we enjoyed the short walk to the slopes and the excellent pool and hot tub. The beds were also nice and huge for the small space. Minor complaints we had were that the bathroom sink didn't drain well and needs maintenance, the Grand Lodge wifi was random and intermittent for everyone in our party, and that the 1-burner stovetop was weak and slow to heat (altho a portable burner is supplied with the room).

Wonderful and walking distance to the slopes

We were looking for a place as close to the slopes as possible. While this wasn’t a true ski in/ski out place, it was wonderful!We had two small children that were able to walk to the lifts with no problem. There is a valet for your skis in the lodge and also at the base of the mountain -super convenient. Would go again! Thank you Jon for being quick to answer to our questions when we needed it.

Great location. Place is a bit run down and could use some TLC. Visible mold in shower and heat stays stuck at 70 degrees so we turned it off at night. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here.

Awesome Property; Great Location

We stayed in this studio condo (2 adults) and it was perfect for a January ski trip. The set up worked great - mini fridge, toaster oven, 1 stove burner, coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher. It was perfect for making breakfasts in the unit. Walking distance to the lifts and lots of ski rental and shops / restaurants also within walking distance. The property has great amenities that we used every day. We had 1 maintenance issue which the owner corrected immediately. It was a perfect stay, and we’d stay here again for sure.

SUPER CONVENIENT LOCATION!

The actual unit was perfect - super clean, tidy and exactly as described! Well stocked little kitchenette - worked perfectly for us. They even provided a floor fan - during the unseasonably hot Fall, and no C/A, it worked like a charm with the windows open. The host communicated so quickly to all of my questions before our arrival. Ample parking - FREE, I might add. The Shuttle to downtown is just outside the Front corner of the building - talk about convenience! We were extremely pleased - it fit the bill for what we needed!

Loved the Location

Our favorite thing was the location to the chairlift to go skiing. It was truly so close and walkable. We even came back to the condo for lunch and a break during the day, saving us a ton of money! Kids loved the pool at night. The one thing that needs updating is the TV. We love watching movies with our kids on vacation and they only had basic cable no option to login to netflix or any streaming services. This day in age, I think that's a no brainer. All in all, would recommend.

Great location and thoughtful amenities

We stayed in Grand Lodge #512 while in town for a fundraiser and our own condo was unavailable. This unit is well cared-for and included some nice touches, like the window fan left in the closet. Normally, AC isn't really needed in CB in the summer, but it was an unusually warm weekend, and coupled with cooler nights and the ceiling fan, this fan did the trick for a comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. The Grand Lodge itself could use a little bit of updating, as other reviewers have mentioned, but this unit is very nice and the location can't be beat - close to the shuttle, walkable to Coffee Lab and other restaurants and shops, in-house cafeteria style dining for a quick bite, and a friendly staff for anything you may need during your stay. Also, great communication from the unit's owner, and we're happy we chose this unit.
