"We chose the hotel based on the pictures on Expedia. We were greatly disappointed that aside from the room, which was comfortable, there was construction all over the place. The pool area was closed and no seating in the lobby. None of this was mentioned in the Expedia advertisement. We were greatly disappointed. We flew down from New Jersey to enjoy the advertised amenities."

"Just returned from 5 days at The Opal Sands. The resort is beautiful located right on the Gulf beach with its pure white sand and light green ocean plus a pool with many chairs and umbrellas. The inside is stunning with its decor, staff always friendly and willing to help with anything. Our room was large with living area, eating area, very well attained. Can't say enough about it, it's restaurant was also top notch. Stay here for sure!!"

"Nice quiet place for a hotel stay in Tampa. The pool was really nice to have and the outer lounge courtyard was great. Staff was somewhat helpful - seemed a little lax security wise at front desk and somewhat friendly. I ended up getting confused with a different booking because of our similar names and walked into someone else’s room. Then our air conditioning wasn’t working so we had to switch rooms. Nice layout of room with suite including pull out couch and kitchenette! Breakfast is free with decent selection, mostly like easy prep dishes, breads, cereal. Overall nice stay but I think they have some things to improve to help make things a little more safe and welcoming."
