We loved the house and the property. Feels like a true river getaway, rustic, relaxing and very cozy. The dock is amazing, and I loved sitting in the morning and enjoying my coffee with nature. We will be back.
Perfectly located for trips by boat to the springs too. The kids had a great time on the water, dining on the dock, and playing games inside! 4 adults + 5 kids + 1 dog + pontoon boat = fun 4 days!!!
This place was awesome, my husband and I got this place for the groomsmen for our wedding weekend and everyone loved it. It is secluded with enough room for our group of 10. The staff, Lacy and Paula, were amazing and available at a moments notice, even Lacy brought us fresh caught catfish! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
Fantastic property on the St Johns River. Very secluded and quiet. The home has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, all boat hoists worked and were a nice addition. The dock was very welcoming and had plenty of room for all 6 of us to hangout and enjoy the water. Plenty of parking for all 3 trucks, trailers, and boats! Host was very responsive and answered any questions we had. Looking forward to coming back soon!
I feel so lucky to have found this place. It is a rare gem for sure. My husband and I stayed with his cousin and a group of friends and we rented both houses. It was very private and secluded and there were many things to do. Our favorite was checking the crab traps every morning. The house was very large and accommodating and the beds were so comfortable. We brought our motorcycles so all of the wide open space was perfect for parking trailers and all of the vehicles. George and Lacy were wonderful and quick to respond to any of our needs. We are definitely planning to come back.
We absolutely loved our week stay at this house, the owner is great with communication and they really treated us as great guest. The home was older yes, but you can see its cared for. Its so very homey and well furnished. Perfect location if you just want to explore the river and lake, central to several natural springs. Full kitchen was great. Calm quiet and peaceful, was perfect place for us to bring the boat from indiana and spend the week with our grandmother. Property is well taken care of and would absolutely stay again if the opportunity is there. Thank you so much for the hospitality and doing even small things like bringin us firewood to use on the super cool smokless firepit. I could go on and on about the sweet things this property has, go check it out! Thanks again!
What a great stay. The house had everything we needed , even a very large pot to cook all the crabs in. The dock area was my highlight of the trip. You have power and also a good seating area and place to keep the dog when checking crab pots. Thanks George and Lacy….
George and his on site team are great. Any questions we had they are always available and quick to respond. This is the second year in a row we have rented from them and we look forward to staying next year as well
Beautiful sunrises and stunning Sunsets Everything you need for a great vacation is in that location beds are super comfy the house is big so everyone have his space the dock is screened house is well equipped the Host is a great person any question he respond very quickly, We are in love with the place and is definitely great place to come back over and over again :) piece of Paradise:)
This is truly an amazing find. It's rare to have this much land anywhere in Florida, especially waterfront. You are in your own private piece of heaven. We were only able to stay 3 nights, but there is so much to do, you could be entertained for weeks. Or just sit and enjoy the beauty of old Florida as it used to be.
We were fortunate enough to realize there was a second house on the property and convince family members to join us for a mini-reunion. But both houses are well separated so if you rented just one, you would not feel crowded or less private. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of sleeping options, all very comfortable. You are well connected with TV and internet, but we advise staying "unplugged" and enjoying all the peace and quiet that surrounds. We hope to return again soon.
We enjoyed so much about this place but ill name a few top pics from our group of 10. Its very peaceful and private. It’s a long dirt driveway through the forest to to the houses but once you’re there, it’s worth it. We enjoyed spending time out on the dock for sunsets. The house is older than we normally get but it reminded me of my grandparents house on George’s lake so very nostalgic. It was very nice and for 10 of us, there was plenty of room. We had 2 boats that were a little tricky to tie up but i think he is getting the lifts fixed. The owner is very professional, polite and responded very quickly to all of my questions. Mr. Lacy is the land manager that met me at the house and was a pleasure to meet. Helped us out with anything we needed.
We plan on making this an annual thing and maybe invite more family to rent the other unit.
For the price, you cant beat it.
