Lake front, beautifully remodeled 3 bedroom and 2 bath home. The 3 bedrooms and 1 bath are upstairs (ground level) Kitchen, living room, and 1 full bath downstairs and central air conditioning throughout. Has sliding door that walks out to the lake view in a secluded cove perfect for swimming or fishing. Has a private dock and kayaks for use. All new furnishings including 4 new queen beds and washer and dryer. Large back yard with a fire pit for comfortably hosting your family's next lake get away!

4th of July

Our immediate family enjoys spending the 4th of July together. We had plenty of room and a flat lakeside yard for our he “littles” to play. We would stay here again.

Wonderful Stay for a Special Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this home while celebrating my daughter’s college graduation. The house was very clean and well-maintained, and it had everything I needed to prepare a BBQ dinner for my daughter, our family, and friends. The kitchen was fully stocked with the essentials, and the outdoor space was perfect for gathering. The property owner was also very responsive and communicated clearly throughout our stay. Lakeside Retreat

We had a wonderful stay. The home is warm and comfortable, clean and spacious. The lake is beautiful and the use of kayaks and paddle boards was very nice. Marion is a short drive for groceries and other needs. We played golf in the area and visited Garden of Gods.

The inside of this home was tastefully remodeled and we had everything we needed for our stay. The only suggestion would be to tidy up the outside a bit as well so you're not walking into spiderwebs on the way in/out of the doorways. Very quiet and peaceful location.

We have stayed at many VRBO at the lake, this was probably the nicest , very clean , love the yard and location of the dock . No big hill. Very nice .

Great Summer Escape on the Lake

Great weekend visit to Lake of Egypt. House was very clean and comfortable. Very nice updated kitchen with basic amenities for cooking. Gas grill was wonderful. Mattresses were softer than our liking, but we would definitely recommend this home. We will be back!

House was as advertised and communication with the owner was easy. We liked the location of the house being on a quiet cove. If you would like to use the fire pit or sit on the dock, bring your own chairs. This was mentioned in the description, but we forgot.

Great stay!

Very relaxing week at the lake. The property was easy to find. Located on a calm and quiet cove with easy access to the main lake. Level front yard and half of the back yard is level too. Easy slope down to the private dock. Back patio gets morning sun and afternoon shade. That would be a big bonus during summer months. We would definitely stay again.

Fun on the lake

We used the kayaks and paddle boards. We also enjoyed the fire pit and grill. The dock was a little “weedy” around it, but my kids didn’t seem to mind. The updates inside were nice. I’d suggest a curtain for the sliding door.

Grandma’s vacation with daughter and grandkids

Great location for hiking at shawnee national park. My grandchildren had a ball swimming and kayaking in the lake. Lake. Beds were comfortable. We had plenty of room for 2 adults and 4 children. Easy location to find. When we had a problem with the plumbing we had a quick response from the owner. My whole family gave the house excellent rating

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is clean and the upstairs bathroom shower is fabulous! The rooms are spacious and airy. It is right on the water. My only wish is that the kitchen would have had real drinking glasses and some more cooking/serving bowls. Wine glasses would be nice, too. (We left a couple for the next guests!) With that being said, I would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

My daughters and I really enjoyed the house. It was such a relaxing weekend. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake. We did some hiking. Our two dogs also enjoyed the trip. Per the other reviews, the house didn’t have a ton of towels, and there were some, minor things missing from the kitchen like plastic wrap, salt and pepper, etc., but there is a Walmart not too far away so that did not ruin our trip. I definitely would book again.
