Cabin with Jaw-dropping Views near Black Canyon

Feast your eyes on this awesome and unobstructed view of the West Elks Mountain range and Grand Mesa from our big front porch! The house features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with sleeper sofa, fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and a second living area downstairs. Outside you’ll find a patio with fire pit where you can sit around a campfire and enjoy the incredible view of Needle Rock and surrounding mountains. We also offer an RV site with full hookup. The Black Canyon is nearby, where you can take in the awesome views and some amazing hiking. Also Crawford reservoir, which offers the opportunity for fishing, boating, kayaking etc, is just down the road. The small town of Crawford has a coffee shop, cafe, and other unique shops. Also a convenience store and hardware store where you can buy groceries and other necessities.

Great Astrophotography site with over 30 deer observing.

Fantastic dark sky site in a Bortle 2 classification. Perfectly clear skies for great astrophotographic conditions. The wildlife was awesome and house was perfect for us.

Great Location for our Family to Gather

This place is very close to my family's Ranch and having a great place to unwind and crash that is just a hop skip and a hop away. Everything was clean and well stocked. We will be back!

Tremendous choice for Colorado vacation

We had a wonderful time! The location is centrally located and perfect for Black Canyon, Grand Mesa, the Currecanti area, and the West Elk range/Kebler Pass. The house is very nicely appointed, with awesome sunrise views over the mountains. Would stay here again and have already recommended to others.

Annual Girl’s Getaway

My mom and I take a trip every autumn and we chose Black Canyon of the Gunnison this year. It was a pretty lowkey trip and this hike was the perfect home base for the week! Very clean, very inviting, very comfortable and quiet!! Carl was very responsive and helpful! We had a blast and would definitely come back! Thanks for an amazing week in your neck of the woods!
