"Lower Standen Farm is a collection of 3 beautifully presented properties full of unique character but all the modern touches you’ll need. We had guests ranging from 4yo to nearly 80yo and we all found our favourite hangout places from swings to snugs. It was perfect for our Easter weekend catch up and the owner was really helpful and responsive when we had questions. Thank you!"

"Had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. The staff were really friendly and Neil was super helpful carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs and then down again on departure. The room was cozy and had all the amenities: flat screen tv, kettle and a radio. I loved the continental breakfast hamper; It was so nice to not have to go down to get breakfast in the morning (especially as I was feeling quite tired) because the breakfast hamper was already in the room complete with a coffee machine, kettle and mini fridge with milk, juice and water. This way I was able to choose a time that suited me to have my breakfast. The hotel's pub served food; the fish was well made (I ordered fish and chips). Hotel had free parking on its premises and it was in a good location - high street with shops, plus close proximity to other attractions; I went to Scotne Castle which was about 15 minutes drive away. Overall I had an enjoyable stay and would recommend. "

"We had a fantastic time staying at Hearts of Oak! Emma was so friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for the area, including a taxi service which was needed when we visited Chapel Down winery! The property itself is very cosy and clean, the beds were super comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay, including logs for the fireplace. The garden was also beautiful!"

"I had a lovely stay at this countryside bed and breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, and the en suite bathroom added great convenience. Breakfast was tasty, with a full cooked meal each morning. I also enjoyed the cozy bar lounge and the peaceful patio area. The in-room tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch, and free parking made everything easy. A relaxing and well-equipped place to stay."

"It was perfectly clean, with a welcome supply of tea bags and coffee as well as fresh milk in the fridge. Hand soap and body wash were in the bathroom, and an ample supply of TP. There was a selection of DVD's and some children's games for entertainment. The heating worked well, and was quick to warm the rooms. There was a bird feeder outside the patio doors so we saw a range of wild birds, squirrels and a few deer one misty morning. We didn't have a UK phone, so the owner left one with us for remote access for the front gate. The owner was very responsive to any issues we had. I highly recommend staying at Deer Cottages."

"We loved everything about our stay in Mafeking. The house, the garden and Benenden are all beautiful. Mafeking is a great choice for familys, there are plenty of toys and a lovely playground nearby. We extended our stay because we loved it that much and had a very friendly and accommodating experience with the costumer service. Next summer holiday we will be coming back and are really looking forward to visit Mafeking again. Absolutely recommended."

"Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. The worst aspect was the small continental breakfast left in the room or delivered in the afternoon. It just consisted of a small cussion, butter, jam, small yoghurt, small box of cereal and a pint of milk with a very small carton of fruit juice with no choice. No juice on the first day, nor milk or cereal on the second with no resupply of hot drink sachets. There was a mini fridge to store that breakfast in the room but it was down on the floor which wasn’t ideal. However pub staff were friendly, the water piping hot, Wi-Fi signal excellent and a comfortable bed."

"We absolutely loved our stay here, equisite attention to detail, stunning location and decor, luxury without formality, and quite simply the most delicious breakfast you could wish for (make sure you try the granola!!) Will be recommending to everyone and hope to return again one day. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. "

"We spent 3 nights at the lodge. The lodge was just the right amount of space for our family of 4. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals. The lodge was clean and well maintained.There were a few downsides one was the water pressure. When using the sink in the kitchen the water in the shower would go cold and I unfortunately was not able to use the lovely tub as the water did not heat up after two attempts. Also the lighting around the lodge needs to be checked as on dark evenings it was difficult to see when returning from our days out. "
