This motel is in a genuine country setting, with sheep grazing in the next door paddock. With only 6 rooms it is cosy and offers self service breakfast and mini bar. It gives a very relaxing experience and is just 4 km from Cowra CBD. Although requiring some maintenance updates, it offers a charming stay.

Disappointing
Tired older style motel with what looked like some semi-permanent residents. These guests sat outside on the very small veranda smoking most of the afternoon and evening. Unfortunately a lot of the smoke drifted into our room. The motel is for sale and the owner was not present leaving the welcome to a friend who while pleasant was not as helpful as possible. Also the breakfast offering was extremely basic including margarine instead of butter so all in all a disappointment. No cooked breakfast was available.

The owner was more than helpful, even booking a dinner table for us that night. The room was fine and the motel was set in a pleasant rural setting. Would stay there again if in the area.

Picturesque and comfortable
Spacious room with nice dining area. Fridge is a bit full of products to buy, but we had a car fridge so it didn't worry us. Very nice quiet location and comfortable bed.

People who only stay one night don't normally need much fridge space and we like to have our very reasonably priced wine, beer, soft drinks, water and cheese&Bix available for our guests. Tired place
The whole place is tired and needs updating. The pool was dirty. The owner was not happy and not very friendly.

Thank you for your review. We have had regular dust storms over the past several months and as soon as I vacuum the pool we get another one so no real apologies for the "dirty Pool" The pool now has its cover on and will re-open for summer, The updating is happening as and when possible as I am on my own - weather, time, money and energy permitting. Now that the weather is more reasonable more can be done. It is most unusual that you found me not friendly and unhappy. I always enjoy my guests and take great pleasure in being friendly and hospitable but perhaps I was not 100% that day. It happens

Lovely spotlessly clean spacious room overlooking the vineyards just 10 mins from town. Friendly owners welcomed us, showed us the room and suggested good places for dinner. Next day they suggested driving tours to take in the best sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Vineyard Motel,

A pleasant and quiet place to stay just outside Cowra. Relaxing to sit on the verandah and have a wine and look out over the vineyard and watch the sheep and birds nearby. The Continental breakfast was good and the microwave welcome. Not having to wash up a big bonus. Good plunger coffee and biscuits.

We are surrounded by grapevines and farmland so of course we are not near the centre of town although it is only 5 minutes in the car door to door. It always seems a long way the first time. Thank you for staying with us and maybe we will see you again next time.

Lives up to its name,overlooks vineyards and is ju
Good for the soul.Spacious room,comfortable beds,loved the French doors so we didn't get that closed in feeling you often get in motel accomadation. Owner was lovely which enhanced our stay. Highly recommend we felt so refreshed the next morning and sat on the verandah sipping coffee and watching the big white cockatoos!

Greeted by an enthusiastic lady. Lovely to sit on the verandah admiring the view over the vineyard. We had a VERY warm night as the underfloor heating was running all night - slept under only a sheet and with the overhead fan running while it was trying to snow outside! The decor was a bit tired tho everything was very clean. We has a good time.

My solo stay
The motel was lovely &-quiet. Beautiful room ,& views, .Bed was really comfortable. Underfloor heating &- ceiling fan.Free Wifi. Close to town, The owners were on holidays & the caretaker lived in town. I did not enjoy being there by myself at this property, & they need to put a security chain on the door. That would have made me feel better. If you like peace &-quiet, solitude this is it.:-) :-) :-) :-)

nice and secluded country motel
We stayed here after passing through cowra many years ago, lovely quiet and secluded motel off the main road, a short walk to the quarry restaurant but unfortunately due to some emergency the restaurant was not open the whole weekend, apart from that a pleasent stay. They do have a mini bar of the local wines, prices were the same as the tourism centre per bottle anyway, and if you run out they were happy to provide more, hardly any reason to leave the room!

Could smell Dog urine in my bed.
Only thing I could fault itbin was the fact there was a definite urine smell in my bed. The other bed in the room was fine though.

Thank you for your email. I found it most unusual that you smelt urine in your bed. Firstly the linen is changed daily, the beds are well aired before they are made up again and the mattress protectors are washed the minute a mark is found on them. It would have been helpful if you had spoken to us and we could have then done something more to help. Sorry your stay was not as good as it should have been.

Quiet and relaxed
A friendly welcome and a generous sized room next to vineyards and close to the river. It is five minutes from Cowra and we had a very relaxed stay there. Nice verandas let you enjoy both the morning and evening sun. Unfortunately August is to cold for the pool, but it looked great too. We'll stay there again next time round!

Homely and peaceful
Stopped a night in Cowra on our road trip across NSW to South Australia. We were made very well. Had dinner at the Impy Pub in town with the locals who were very friendly. Do visit the information centre and see the holograph of the Japanese prisoners breakout from the prisoner of war camp and also the Japanese Gardens of remembrance and reconciliation.

Relaxing and revitalising rural break
We enjoyed a one night stay mid-week towards the beginning of the Young cherry season. Wendy-Jane was a pleasant welcoming host, practical and also not too intrusive. We enjoyed being in touch with the rural seasons and view with harvesting of canola in the paddock next door. We had the place to ourselves and being a hot night we enjoyed the pool. It was blowy but it didn't deter us that the water had a few recent blown leaves and harvest husks in it. The water was clear and cool. We were so relaxed we neglected to take a small amount of clothing from the wardrobe. Wendy-Jane was most prompt in forwarding it to us.

We had a perfect overnight stay at the Vineyard Hotel, a very quiet and relaxing place, with all necessary facilities, and enjoyed very much our breakfast in the garden. Definitely a highly recommended place.

Nice large room. Heated floor was lovely.
We were met by the very friendly Wendy Jane. She was a wealth of knowledge about Cowra. Room is spotless, maybe not the very latest fashion but very comfortable. Easy continental breakfast with plunger coffee in your room. Easy parking and just a few steps. We would stay again!

Romantic stay - peace and quiet of the vineyards
When we booked this place we knew it was going to be great. The owner is a delightful, helpful and great host. She gave us the low down on how to put together our trip to the Japanese Gardens and other Cowra highlights. She booked us a table at the nearby Quarry Restaurant - excellent food and local wine. She helped us decide the route to and from Sydney (down via the Hume and Boorowa - back through Bathurst and the mountains) There are only a handful of rooms at this motel and the place has a very relaxed atmosphere with other guests sitting on a long veranda enjoying a quiet drink and watching the sun go down over the vines and paddocks.
