I am sure that the family who actually owns this property is lovely. Unfortunately, the property management company that has been tasked with operating this Vrbo is a great example of why large companies should not replace private landlords. The check in process was terrible. I had to submit a photo ID (irregular for a Vrbo or others) which is not the end of the world, but the website did not work. As such, I could not fully check in. When I got to the property I lost cell service and was unable to get into the property or access the WiFi to view the check in details because no info is given until you submit an ID photo. If the customer service had gotten back faster and the Vrbo app saved messages offline that would have solved this issue. However, if the company had simply provided the WiFi info as a part of the check in instructions, that would have solved the issue.Aside from this, check out is at 10:00 AM reducing the value of a night here given that the check out time is a standard 4:00 PM. This means you have to rush to eat breakfast and leave. This is made worse by the fact that even though the company had 6 hours to clean the property, it was still disgusting when we arrived. Kitchen and utensils were greasy and unclean, sofa bed was stained and filthy, the garbage outside was filled, and the house was generally unclean. We had to strip and rewash sheets and mattress covers. I would seriously advise the owners to reevaluate their property management company.
