We stayed with family for our sons wedding which was at the riverbird event center.only a 15 min drive away And very pet friendly which was great for the dog. House is very well stocked! Would stay there again!

Beautiful property with everything you could possibly need! Hubby & I, along with our oldest son, planned to visit the youngest child for GVSU family weekend. Then my brother & his wife decided to come for the football game and check out the disc golf scene in the area. This little cottage was such a relaxing place to come back to after being out and about a good chunk of the day. We enjoyed the firepit for smores on Saturday night and nothing beats listening to nature with the view of the water as the sun is coming up with a cup of coffee and a book on a Sunday morning. We are already talking about booking again next year!Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Wonderful setting on the river!

This cottage is much cuter than the pictures show. The setting on the river is beautiful and relaxing! We stayed for the Holland Tulip festival and the setting was the perfect retreat after a long day of walking and people. The house is comfortable and relaxing and provided everything we needed for our stay!

Quiet retreat

My family of 4 and 2 friends stayed for GVSU family weekend. It was a nice place to retreat close to campus. It was a very clean and quiet place on the river. My son and I enjoyed the kayaks. Host was very nice and had great communication:)

Beautiful and Peaceful Getaway

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay right on the river. There is hiking close by, kayaks to enjoy, and the home is beautiful with a lovely outdoor space. Our dogs enjoyed playing fetch in the river and we loved sitting out at the fire pit by the water. Jamie was friendly and helpful, and the house is stocked with anything you could possibly need during your stay. We had a great time and will definitely be booking again next summer!

Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy riverside house! The property offers a serene escape with its beautiful river views and convenient access to kayaks, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house came with a lot of items ready to use including kayaks. That was my favorite part - jumping in a kayak and paddling up and down the river. Amazing

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and never have I seen so many comfort and convenience accommodations. The cottage is stocked with any imaginary item you may happen to need but forgot to bring. The cottage & linens are very clean and smell fresh. The location has everything for outdoor fun right in the immediate vicinity . Thanks, Jamie, for a wonderful stay!

Delightful

This place was gorgeous and met all our needs. Beds were comfortable, lots of extra towels and pillows, as well as little touches, like cereal bars next to the coffee pot. Check in was super easy; key in lockbox with a personalized and therefore, easy to remember, code. My family of five attended a three day wedding event in Grand Haven, and went back and forth all weekend. Kids loved swimming in the river. Jamie was very accessible and responsive, and quickly fixed an issue when I let her know.

Unplugged Private Retreat

This property is great! We completely unplugged and enjoyed all this property has to offer. Fishing, kayaking, hiking and more! Jamie the host was super sweet and very helpful. Not only do we recommend this property, we plan on coming back in the fall for the changing of the leaves and back again in May to see all the tulips that the area is known for! Luckily it didn't rain during our stay, but if it did, they had board games and tons of movies. There is no internet, so leave your electronics at home and dive into nature! Hopefully you will enjoy a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage sitting on the back deck and looking at the river like we did! We recommend downloading a map of the area prior to coming just in case you lose service while driving. This property is also 30 minutes or less to the areas attractions. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back!

Almost perfect

This was a great place to stay. I can imagine that in the summer, folks who want to get on the river or sit around the fire pit would be so happy. We stayed when it snowed hard so we didn't do any outdoor activities. The owner was amazing. She attentive and responsive. The only issue we had was with the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a sign when one pulls onto the road that there are a bunch of dogs who live there, which isn't a problem if one isn't allergic to dogs. What we didn't expect was that they would bark incessantly near midnight or at the crack of dawn. Dogs can't help but being dogs, but if you are a light sleeper, bring headphones. There is no internet and the antenna only picks up the Grand Rapids PBS channel. They provided a lot of movies so that is good. If you have a hotspot, you should be fine to jump online or stream something as you unwind at the end of the night.
