"I stayed here a few years ago. It was very clean then, so I came back when I needed a stay for an overnight in Branford. It's still very clean and comfortable and quiet. It's a simple motel, but that's what I like and drive right up to the front door and feel safe and confident that you're in a good place. And the staff is very nice. It was an easy check in which I appreciate and the king bed was beautiful.
Grocery store across the street and dunkin' donuts is just about next door so very convenient.
The most important things to me in motels or hotels is cleanliness and safety. Refrigerator and microwave in the room were sparkling clean.
It's basic but clean and everything you need is here. If you are traveling, it's convenient to 95, i mean, it would be so easy to wake up here if you're traveling and just grab a coffee and jump on the highway.
Highly recommend this place because of all these reasons. Thank you for another nice visit.

"Easy to get to, clean and affordable. The pizza bar at the end of the property is huge plus. Could use a hair dryer or coffee in the room but considering the price still an excellent choice. "
Cozy 1-bedroom apartment, water views in wonderful New Haven with WiFi, AC
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I had a lovely long weekend at this property. It was very well kept and perfect for the two of us. Everything was updated and the entire property was very clean and outback looking over the river was beautiful. We would certainly stay there again."
"Unfortunately, even though the gentleman at the front desk was polite, the check-in experience was terrible. The system was not working and he had to get the manager. They finally got me checked in and asked me to sign a receipt, for $80 even though I showed that I had pre-paid for the stay online and was able to use a credit and only paid sixty-something. They said that the receipt was for Hotels.com and not another charge. As it was late and I was tired, I signed. Shortly after getting to my room, I went to the bath room and found three live cockroaches walking around the bathroom sink and shower. I immediately killed them, then proceeded to pack my bags and check-out. I'm not pretentious at all and understand that motels are usually cheaper for a reason. But, I draw the line at having live roaches in the room. "
"Sadly, our stay was so disappointing. I realize your advertisement said the property had some wear from use but what we actually found was incredibly poor maintenance practices and obvious long term neglect. Clearly this place used to be very nice but it has been ruined by a lack of proper care. Here are just a few of the things that need to be addressed to try and rehabilitate the property.Master Bedroom/Bath:Dirty towels in the hamper when we arrived so we washed the sheets because we didn’t know if they had been washed.Shower wall had an unknown substance left on it so I had to clean it.Paint the walls, it’s clear someone tried to do touchups with the wrong color.Back Patio:The Grill is unsafe and unusable - seals are bad and grates are rustedWeeds up through the deck boards - when I pulled some out, glass from the broken table top came out with them and I didn’t see that until I cut my foot on it.Over grown shrubs make the seating area unusable and they need to be trimmed backDead plants and debris need to be removed to detour the rat we saw from sneaking into the seating area.Three of the outside lights are broken and two are literally hanging out of the socketsRailing caps are rottenKitchen:Ants - we had to go and get bait Microwave light over stove outTwo kitchen lights out not enough light in the kitchen to cook comfortably There was so much more that needed to be addressed. So sad."
