"This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion.
Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division...
"Owner is so lovely and very helpful, almost like a personal tour guide for us with plenty of suggestions for things for us to see and do. Very friendly!! Breakfast was beautiful! Room was clean, walking distance to beaches shops and restaurants. I’d stay again if visiting ilfracombe again. "
"Nice apartment, ideal positioning, Illfracombe is very steep, but lovely walks to be had. Car parking is free after 6pm in the town also. We didn’t use the facilities but pool looked a decent size.
Cushions on the bed were very hard. Could maybe do with a couple of soft ones in the wardrobe as a just incase. Lovely place overall. "
"Property looked as if renervation has started but nowhere near finished. Door on upper floor bedroom couldn't be closed as the catch was missing just a space where it used to be. Door on upper floor bathroom wouldn't close - too tight a fit so couldn't be locked - no privacy. Difficulty shutting and locking rear french windows didn't feel very secure. TV remote didn't work. Tried changing the batteries but no success. When we reported were told others had made same comments but it still wasn't...
"The booking on hotels.com stated that the property was pet friendly and dogs stay free. When the booking was confirmed, we were told that pets were £35 per pet and not as advertised. Avoid if you have pets."
"Saffron House Hotel is a very nice, comfortable B&B to explore North Devon. The hotel is very clean, quiet and breakfast is very good. Would stay again."

"Wonderful property with fabulous views overlooking the sea and coastal walks. Many thanks Johnny we really enjoyed meeting you and we’re amazed you had built it yourself. Really enjoyed the hot tub in all types of weather. Kitchen well equipped and the shower larger than the photos suggest. Enjoyed walk down to beach and cafe for Sri Lanka takeaway curry. Also Mortehoe Fish and Chip shop a must. "
"Have been to Woolacombe many times and this was the best property we have stayed in. Comfy bed, good quality furnishings and great location within the village
Only thing I was say is we used the washing machine and then couldn’t find a clothes dryer …. Maybe it’s there somewhere but we couldn’t find one "
"We really enjoyed the space, the views, the insulation but also the ability to create a cooling air flow. Everything was practical and convenient. The front conservatory was a real hit. It gets very warm but the sliding windows quickly fix that: a great place to have breakfast, read quietly in the afternoon or just sit and enjoy the magnificent viewOnly gripes: • showers need shower curtains• couple of lights (or bulbs???) weren't working "
Luxury beach-front House with fantastic sea views in Woolacombe with parking
10/10 Excellent
"The house was exactly as described . It was large and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We had an issue with the boiler which was dealt with straight away. Unfortunately the weather was awful , raining most days but the children still went in the sea."
"We've just returned from staying at this property over new year. What an amazing view every morning to wake up to. The property was clean and nice little touches like christmas tree was up and bottle of wine and biccies on arrival. There is parking for 2 cars. This property is on a steep hill so walking into Woolacombe is great, coming back not so easy lol.. The pub at the top of the hill is absolutely amazing but be prepared to take your oxygen mask with you lol.Everyone is really friendly and i will definitely return. Some of the kitchen utensils could of been cleaner and the door to the main bathroom wouldnt close properly ...The views to Lundy Island is fabulous. I could sit on the balcony all dsy and just watch the waves.I wouldnt advise taking older family members to this property unless your willing to drive everywhere. My fur baby enjoyed the walks everyday to the beach and back, this thoroughly tired her out lol."
