About this property
Hike into Garden of the Gods right from the house! Perfect for families!
The location of this family friendly home is simply perfect! You'll be only minutes from the historic Rockledge Ranch, Old Colorado City, Red Rocks Open Space, Manitou Springs, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and Seven Falls. But the real treat is that this beautiful home is only 0.2 mile from a foot/bicycle-only entrance to Garden of the Gods. This means you can avoid the stress of traffic/parking and instead walk right into the Garden. The exceptional location allows you to explore all of Colorado Springs, relax, and spend more time vacationing!
As a guest you'll have full access to the house and its amenities. Relax on the large front deck and enjoy the very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Go for an evening stroll to Westmoor Park (0.3 mile away.) Hop in the car and go down the road to the brewery of your choice. Or, our personal favorite, walk up the road into The Garden of the Gods to watch sunset. Regardless of your activity choice, regardless of the season, you are likely to see other hikers, bicyclists, families, and plenty of wildlife out enjoying the great outdoors.
What can you expect, depending on the season? Spring: 40's - 60's, sunny, and lots of new wildlife. Colorado is well-known for its heavy, Spring snows and baby blue skies. One day it can snow 2 ft. one day and the next day, it can all melt off. Summer: 70's - 80's, sunny, and everyone (and their dog) is outside. Hikers hit the trails early because by afternoon, loud and intense thunderstorms can build against the mountains. Fall: 60's - 70's, dipping into the 30's sometimes at night! The chilly nights and warm days are the perfect equation for stunning colors. Coffee shops and breweries are hoppin' and a cozy sweater is essential. (Fall is my favorite time of year here.) Winter: 20's - 50's, bright blue skies and snowy mountains. Everyone is still outside, but now they are enjoying the crisp air and Winter activities.

The location is great and the host Ashley was amazing! Everything you could ask for is nearby and it is a great home base for Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Pike’s Peak, and Garden of the Gods…all are within 15 minutes!
We loved all the space for us to spread out in the home! Also, the location to Garden of the Gods was amazing! Just a short walk up the street and you are in the park! Did not have to fight all the traffic to get there! Ashley was very quick to respond with any questions we had! We would absolutely stay here again!
Our trip was not for pleasure, so having this cozy, clean, comfortable retreat was a blessing. Great location! Good accommodations and excellent hosts! We're definitely coming back for a true vacation.
Wow. This was the best VRBO I have stayed in. The hospitality was amazing. The location and amenities were wonderful. My kids (4.5 and 2 yo) had a great time in the playroom. It was a great place for our pre-Christmas getaway.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided for a great stay. Excellent location for visiting all the sights. Host communicated every step of the way.
The location is great. The property is perfect, very well maintained, well equipped with utensils, dishes etc. The kids room is super cute. We felt very at home. Ashley was very attentive. I would recommend this property
This property is fantastic ! We had plenty of room for all family members . The playroom was amazing and my grandson loved the toys and tent. Cousins visited one afternoon and the kids had a ball. Plenty of seating and dining spaces. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Five stars seems inadequate I’d give it 10!! We will be back!
We stayed at this beautiful home while in Colorado to visit family, and it was perfect! There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 kids, the kids loved the cowboys and Indians room! Ashley the owner made everything so easy and made sure we had everything we needed! The location is so perfect with being right next to garden of the gods and really anything you wanted to do. When we come back to visit again I would definitely rebook this beautiful home! I would give it 10 stars if I could!
We had a blast staying at this VRBO for 5 days with our group! My daughter loved the cowboy and Indians room, and the proximity to Garden of the Gods couldn’t be beat. Ashley was a generous and attentive host, making sure the little amenities were available!
The posting did say there is a hot tub, but that was an error as there wasn’t one at the property. It didn’t affect our enjoyment of the property, though!
Fabulous property! Spotlessly clean and so convenient to everything. Lovely, accommodating, and totally perfect for children. Pack and play, backpack, STROLLER, high chair all provided. The rocking chair in the "Cowboys & Indians" room was very comfortable and well-used. Loved the decor! Gorgeous setting on a dead end street. We LOVED watching the deer roam the neighborhood. The Garden of the Gods is just up the street! The owner is just lovely and easy to work with. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Colorado Springs and this property exceeded our expectations! An amazing setting. Our only regret--we wish we could have stayed longer.
If you are an outdoorsy family with young kids then seriously, stop looking and just book this place.
We are a family of 3, and we stayed here with our friends who are a family of 4. This house was everything we had hoped it would be, and even closer to Garden of the Gods than we imagined!
All the beds felt very comfortable and clean, the living space was perfect after-bedtime chit chat, the boys LOVED the cowboy room and especially the Lincoln Logs.
It was very easy to get to, and GoG is literally a 5 minute walk down the street. It was close to plenty of stores and not too far from the commercial areas with tons of restaurants.
If you are a family with young kiddos, this is the place for you. We will be back again then next time we're in town!
Our host was extremely communicative and we felt very welcome in her house, and we had an AMAZING time.
Located minutes away from Garden of the Gods and Old Colorado Springs, while nestled in a sweet neighborhood…Pleasant Valley had everything our family of 8 needed and so much more! The gracious, attentive host has the comfort of her guests in mind, anticipating all that may be needed on a stay away from home. Knowing we had a 2-year old, she provided a pack n’ play, stroller, high chair and backpack carrier. The Western themed bedroom was a huge hit for the two older children.
The adults enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, coffee/tea bar and well stocked kitchen. The fall decor, comfortable beds, fluffy bath towels all staged in the beautifully decorated, pristine home created an environment for total relaxation. A highlight of our Colorado Springs visit was Pleasant Valley.
The layout: Three full bedrooms, two full baths, and a converted lounge space with twin beds and a cozy fire place meant my family had ample room to spread out and enjoy our time in CO Springs. The kitchen and breakfast nook allowed for quick morning meals feeding our 3 teenage boys, while the dining table sat all 6 of us for dinners. There is an office space/laundry area, but we didn’t use it. Honestly, the last thing I wanted to think about was doing laundry or working on vacation.
Ashley has everything clearly labeled, fully stocked, and provided a wealth of local information and guidance for our trip. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, to include k-cups, cooking sprays, spices, and condiments. Each room was themed and my mother appreciated the massage feature of the bed in the wilderness room after a day at Monarch Mountain.
The location: We were able to watch the NYE fireworks from the porch and didn’t have to deal with crowds. The house is located in an older neighborhood with a lot of new growth/development near by. Stores and restaurants were within a few minutes drive or a 15-20 minute walk. We loved how close we were to Garden of the Gods and wish we’d had more opportunities to explore the trails, but our time flew by.
10/10 would stay again and recommend this property. I’ve stayed in numerous properties in the US and Europe, and this was hands down my favorite.
The house was clean and very cozy. The host left the Christmas decorations up at our request. If you want to hike around Garden of the Gods this is your place, you walk 5 minutes down the road and you are on one of the trails. Host checked in with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our time. If we are ever in Colorado Springs again we will definitely stay here.
This property location & overall accommodation was excellent for families. The house is well appointed with all of the comforts of home. Ashley was an excellent host. I would highly recommend for those looking for a great home & location in Colorado Springs! It is walking distance to Garden of the Gods & a quick drive to many other attractions.
