Detailed Description: Upon arriving walk up three steps to enter the house using the provided door code. On the main floor you'll find two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, dining area, and kitchen. There are extra blankets and pillows in each closet and luggage racks for your convenience. The upstairs bathroom has a large shower, towels, soap, conditioner, body wash, and hair dyer. The light and bright living room is a great place to relax with one of the many books we have in our mini-library or watch TV. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and is equipped with everything you need (minus food!) to cook a great meal. The dining area seats six at the table. The french doors in the dining room lead to a small patio with seating and gas grill. The private backyard is fenced and also has a patio table with six chairs. The is also artificial turf with corn hole. Downstairs, you'll find the master bedroom with king sized bed. The bathroom, accessible through the bedroom, has a shower and the same amenities as the upstairs bathroom. Across the hall from the master bedroom is the flex room that can be used as a 4th bedroom if needed. It has a closet, egressed windows, and doors for privacy. In this room, you'll also find a sofa bed, TV, games, and foosball table. Please note the fireplace is inoperable. The laundry room with washer and dryer (no extra charge!) is accessible through the family room and master bedroom. We are properly permitted in the city of Colorado Springs, permit #STR-0718
Things to Note: This is one side of a duplex which means it shares a wall with the other side. The basement level can be cooler than the upstairs. We have plenty of blankets but bring a sweater in case you get cold. Three rooms are set up as strict bedrooms. The downstairs living room is a flex room that can be used a rec room or bedroom if needed. While the house can sleep 8 people, please note there are only two bathrooms and the water heater will likely not accommodate 8 back-to-back showers. (There are no bathtubs.) When both showers are running at the same time the water pressure will decrease slightly. We provide a generous starter supply of household goods such as toilet paper, tissue, and laundry/dish soaps.
Parking: Please park on the street in front of the house if possible (rarely someone else is parked there) or around the corner.
Location: Colorado Springs has no shortage of things to do! The Turquoise Door is centrally located with quick access to I-25, Academy Blvd and Woodmen Rd making it easy to get around town. •10 minutes to the Air Force Academy and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame •15-20 minutes to Garden of the Gods, downtown, Old Colorado City, Glenn Eyrie Castle, Space Museum, and Olympic Training Center. • 20-25 minutes to Manitou Springs , Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds, and Manitou Cliff Dwellings. • 25-30 minutes to entrance of Pikes Peak, The North Pole, Green Mountain Falls, and Woodland Park.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was conveniently located near all of the tourist attractions. The property was very clean and well-kept, had everything we needed. The owners explained directions and expectations simply, were prompt to respond, and overall wonderful to deal with.
Senior couple who stayed 4 nights and very pleased with quality of property. Very updated, bright and well equipped for guests- perks included coffee, quality kitchen items, lots of quality towels, huge shower, lots of blankets, comfortable beds. Basement is spacious with a large TV and game table. We grilled and relaxed on the deck. Within walking distance of grocery store, enjoyed eating at Lazy Dog restaurant nearby. So much to do, our 2nd trip in a year - Garden of the Gods is beautiful, hiked Seven Falls, took train to Pikes Peak, Manitou Cliff Dwellings and don’t pass up all the Royal Gorge adventures! Unexpected fun was the huge Scheels store nearby with a Ferris wheel inside and many wild game on display.
Clean home, wonderful beds in a safe, quite neighborhood
We came into Colorado Springs on our way to the University of Wyoming. We didn’t have any reservations because we didn’t know when we would be coming through. I messaged the host to see if we could rent her location. She was very quick to reply to let us know she could accommodate us.
The home is in a quite, family neighborhood. We were pulling a small U-Haul trailer and felt safe unhooking it to drive around town. There is a grocery store and Starbucks nearby. The beds in the home were VERY comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed.
I definitely recommend this home for a family traveling to the Colorado Springs area.

It was perfect for our family visit, decorated adorably, was cleaned and had a well stocked kitchen for us to prepare breakfast. There was a nice gathering space for visiting, was a great location for access to shopping, the Air Force Academy and the interstate. It was a pleasant stay!

Spent a week at this great house in a quiet neighborhood in Colorado Springs. Easy check in and check out. Convenient location with restaurants shopping nearby. The King Soopers right down the street is great money saver so you can have food in the fridge when you come back from a day out. I would stay here again!

We were here to enjoy our son graduating from USAFA and this was the PERFECT place for us. The owners are extremely responsive and helped with anything we needed. This is a “must” to stay here. We felt like we were staying in a family members hone vs just a rental home. Book it and enjoy!
