Good value, high comfort

The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and we had a really nice breakfast during our overnight stay. Everything was quite nice and we would gladly stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights visiting Cologne Christmas markets. Hotel is in a great location close to the Cathedral and the main railway station which has a direct link from the airport. Would recommend.

Outstanding

The hotel is close to the station and the cathedral. I was upgraded to a large room with separate dressing room. The bathroom was lovely with rituals toiletries. The bed very comfortable. My only regret was that I was only there one night. Exceptional hotel.

Room was fantastic, stylish and luxurious. Although they advertise parking, they had none... They rent out the spaces to locals for overnight I'd say, so at 5pm you have to park somewhere else, at cost, 10min walk away, then next morning get the car from there before you can load bags... Hmmmmm.

This hotel has no laundry on site. There was no restaurant and no bar. When I complained to Expedia they apparently sent them a photo of laundry units (which I know for a fact didn’t exist because I was there, in person, and had multiple hotel staff tell me so). They lied to me, lied to Expedia and then Expedia believes them over their customers.

Weekend in Cologne, Germany

The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from the Koln Train station downtown. There is some construction around the hotel, but you don't hear it. Our room was not facing Cologne Cathedral but there was a lovely church across the street. Be warned the bells go off at 7AM. Cologne is pretty walkable too, so we didn't use any other form of transportation while we stayed there. We got the breakfast buffet one morning and I can say, it wasn't worth it. Not many selections for the cost. The staff was friendly.

A tale of two nights!

We had 1 horrendous night, and 1 nice night. Being put in a room with with no working air con in 30°C+ weather was totally unacceptable, and despite trying to pretend that it should be working ok, the staff definitely knew the room was a sweat box prior and still left us to endure a shockingly uncomfortable night! For this night we were charged over £200 for a "Deluxe" room! The room change and upgrade for the 2nd night was very much appreciated, and nothing bad to say about this Grand Deluxe room; spacious, clean and best of all Cold!! Location handy for train station, not the nicest part of town, but fine for what we needed.

No AC. Premium rooms are a joke and not at all as described. Dirty rooms with stains and mold. Tiny rooms and terrible view. Staff lies about promised refunds. Worst hotel experience, do not stay here!

Nice hotel but very expensive parking

The hotelis near the Cathredal and the train station, soclose to the Center. We had big problem wirh parking because the garage of the hotel chsrged 1.5euro every half hour with maximum 24 euros, but if you want to take the car for a drive, you have to pay thecharge up to this time and when you come back yiou ha ve to pay from the beginning. So the 24 euro perday means that you left the car inside. Ipaid from 9 to 16.pm 21 euros and we came back to pay 3 euros per hour fir all night. The reception could not help us. The botel was nice but peculiar with hidden stairs and elevators

This is a hard review to give. The hotel was very clean and close to the train station. That was good. However, check in was not great. We had yo wait while the attendant had to walk the customers in front of us to their room. He returned to check us in. He was pleasant enough so I have no complaints against him. He told us that they were out of room keys so he would have to take us to our room. No key, not a good plan. A key card was needed to keep the lights on. He tried to substitute something else. It lasted about two minutes. We were left in a dark room. My husband tried several credit card type things to no avail. He had to have the attendant come back twice and needed to use a cellphone flashlight to see what he was doing.It was late at night and we were tired. Finally the young man called his supervisor to get permission to use a key card. This whole process took over 45 minutes to have lights that worked. The room was smaller than what I expected or thought I had purchased. We were quite annoyed that a highly rated hotel would have this kind of problem. Thankfully, The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice.
