"The location of the hotel was fantastic! Pile Place Market is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Park Place Market has an extraordinary number of food choices and vendors selling numerous items. The Pike Place waterfront also includes the Seattle Acquarium, a park area and waterfront walking trails for strolling. There are a number of very good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as the shopping mall Pacific Place that has an AMC movie theatre and food and shopping, with a sky bridge that leads to Nieman Marcus. Also, the same block where the hotel is located contains the monorail that leads directly to the Seattle Center where the Space Needle and Museum of Pop Culture (aka Jimmy Hendrix museum) are located. Also, the light rail that leads to the airport (SeaTac) is on the same block (only $3 to the airport). Finally, the hotel is clean and beautifully preserved (it will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. The rooms are cleaned daily and coffee and water bottles are replenished daily. In conclusion, I am looking forward to a return trip to the Mayflower Hotel and Seattle!"
"Apparently Corporate made a decision to remove cofffee/ tea makers in room and coffee is available in the lobby only from 4-7 a.m. The fridge I our room was not working (hoping that’s not going to be removed also. ) The toilet paper and facial tissues are now thin single ply. Amenities have definitely taken a hit. The hotels.com purchased room we were assigned had a view of the mechanical equipment and a small parking lot. We’ve stayed at The Paramount many times and are disappointed with the downgrades.
However, It is a convenient location to the Convention Center and the Paramount Theatre. And it’s about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place Market and shopping. Plenty of restaurants nearby."
