"The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They truly made our stay enjoyable, and I would give them 5 stars without hesitation. While the hotel itself was just okay and could benefit from some repairs and updates, the staff mentioned that a complete renovation is planned soon, which is encouraging. The hotel was clean, and the two-bedroom layout was perfect for our family, providing plenty of space and comfort during our stay. Overall, we had a positive experience and appreciated the excellent service from the staff."

"The AC was the only good thing about it. It is full of bums, and they overprice everything. They put me into a dirty room when I first checked in, with holes in the sheets and the curtains, dirt on the walls and some kind of black substance that looked like mold. If you can afford not to, do not stay here."

"The property was in good repair and a convenient location. The breakfast was very good and run by a friendly and very efficient woman. My problem was with the employee, named Morgan that checked me in. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or not but she was very rude. I approached the desk, this was around 8 pm. I stated I was checking in, she grabbed a plastic frame on the desk and tossed it down the counter. I was never greeted with a hello or any greeting. I was asked my name and car info. She then told me my room number and stated where the elevator was. I asked if that was the only entrance and she repeated where the elevator was in a very condescending tone. I walked away rather stunned at the hostility and attitude she had shown. I have never stayed at a Whyndam property that was unwelcoming until this stay. The other staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. I wish I could recommend this property but if that is how travelers are treated, I would recommend looking elsewhere."

"For whatever reason there was someone stomping around in a room above ours, intermittently, ALL NIGHT for one of the nights during our three-night stay. It was annoying. Some of the upholstered furniture in the room had stains and the bathroom door could not be opened all the way, bc it interfered with the toilet. We didn't complain because we didn't pay a lot for the room and it was pretty clean. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part."

"We were not impressed with the hotel. It was an ok place to sleep for one night. The hotel needs a lot of cleaning. Small details make a big impression. The vents and whole ac unit in our room (208) was nasty. The hallway smelled. The stairway carpet is disgusting and smells bad. The breakfast area wasn’t kept clean. The tables were dirty and still had trash from previous parties eating there. Keep in mind the hotel was not busy in the breakfast area at 9am when we went down. We sat at the long table near the kitchen/prep area and when people went in and out of the kitchen/prep area I could see a large bag of the little egg inlet things just sitting out in the open on a high top chair. The staff wasn’t restocking anything at that point. Due to these cleanliness issues we will not be staying at the Wingate again when we come to town. To me that says something because we will be in town every couple of months for the next three years. So unfortunately you have lost our business due to staff not being willing to maintain hotel cleanliness. Just simple spot cleaning ( sweeping the floor mid day/check-in time or when tracks are made would be helpful). "
