Great stay

Great stay in a tastefully decorated house with a beautiful garden in a very quiet area. Very friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful area for walking and cycling. Cities such as Siena and San Gimignano and also smaller beautiful towns and villages are easily accessible. Highly recommended for those who love peace and nature.

Idyllic farmhouse in the Tuscan hills💜

This property exceeded all of our expectations! The setting was gorgeous, the farmhouse was immaculate and beautiful, the host was endearing, helpful and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to slow down their pace and enjoy Tuscany in an unforgettable property.

Geweldige locatie in de vrije natuur van Toscane

Een heerlijke vakantie gehad in Toscane. Geweldig ontvangen door Vera die ons wegwijs maakte in onze cottage. Er stond een lekkere fles wijn klaar wat wil je nog meer. Het huisje ziet er precies zo uit als op de foto’s , heerlijk afgelegen in de natuur. Precies waarnaar we op zoek waren. Ook het contact met Monica verliep perfect, we konden met al onze vragen bij haar terecht. Vanuit deze plek kun je makkelijk plaatsen als Siena, Firenze en San Gimignano bezoeken. Kortom een aanrader. Als we nog eens in de buurt komen gaan we zeker weer terug. Monica en Vera bedankt voor de goede zorgen.

Un lugar auténtico

Ha sido una linda experiencia. El lugar es auténtico, simple, limpio, un jardín bello… la señora Vera es muy atenta y disponible. La casa está muy limpia y tiene detalles muy lindos. Además está ubicada cerca de Siena y alrededores. Muy contentos de haber encontrado este lugar.

Einfach traumhaft schön und unvergesslich!

Bei einem Glas Chianti Classico, italienischer Musik und noch in Gedanken an einen wunderschönen Urlaub schreibe ich diese Zeilen. In einem liebevoll eingerichteten Häuschen, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, Stil und italienischem Charme eingerichtet, durften wir Gast sein. Es fehlte im Haus an nichts um einen perfekten Urlaub zu erleben. Zur Begrüßung stand eine Flasche Rotwein auf dem gemütlichen Küchentisch, das fanden wir sehr aufmerksam und er war sehr lecker. In traumhaft ruhiger Lage, wo man abends den Grillen lauschen kann und ab und zu ein Hund bellen hört, kann man perfekt entspannen. Bitte unbedingt was gegen Mücken einpacken. Die Ausflugsziele wie Siena, Florenz, San Gimignano alles ein Katzensprung entfernt. Das 10 Minuten entfernte Colle di Val d’Elsa und deren Oberstadt unbedingt anschauen. Die FeWo ist live noch schöner und die Vermieterin Vera und ihre Tochter Monica sind einfach entzückend und unglaublich herzlich. Nicht zu vergessen Opi Nemo, der Kater der Familie, er hat unser Herz im Sturm erobert. Wir werden diesen wundervollen Urlaub, in einem tollen Haus und alle damit verbundenen schönen Eindrücke nie vergessen und können alles absolut empfehlen. Es war unser erster Aufenthalt in der Toskana und nicht der Letzte. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Vielen herzlichen Dank liebe Vera und liebe Monica, dass wir Ihre Gäste sein durften. Excellent séjour à "Il Caggio di Sotto"

Nous avons aimé cette maison (climatisée) confortable et joliment décorée (des beaux tissus pour les rideaux et les draperies, des draps et couvre lits immaculés de style ancien,...) Très bien située au calme dans la jolie campagne de Toscane nous avons profité d'un petit jardin que pour nous pour prendre nos repas le soir à la fraîche avec comme seule compagnie des lucioles qui illuminaient la nuit !! Tiens j'allais oublier les moustiques qui nous ont rendu visite aussi. Il faut prévoir un répulsif anti-moustiques. Vera, discrète et à l'écoute, a le sens de l'hospitalité : nous avons eu comme cadeau de bienvenue une bonne bouteille de vin rouge de la région et nous avons trouvé des délicates surprises (des figues et des prunes) de la ferme posées devant la porte durant la semaine. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu. Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour !

Eine wahre Idylle

Das Häusl ist ein Traum: mit allem, was das Herz begehrt, liebe- und geschmackvoll ausgestattet, sogar mit Spül- und Waschmaschine, und ein Ort der Beschaulichkeit und Ruhe, man hört nur die Insekten, ein paar Vögel und ab und an einen Hund. Der Blick hinaus in den Vorgarten (ein Blumenmeer) und in die Weite ist atemberaubend, trotzdem ist man nicht ab vom Schuss und kann wunderbare Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung machen, Siena, Florenz, Volterra, San Gimignano etc. sind nicht weit, und auch Colle di Val d’Elsa hat uns gut gefallen… Die Vermieter sind überaus zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und freundlich, so dass wir am liebsten noch zwei Wochen (mindestens!) Urlaub drangehängt hätten! Merci pour votre chaleureux acceuil, chère Vera, nous avons très envie de revenir… Amitiés, Katharina et Hermann

Schön und gemütlich

Ein sehr nettes, gemütliches kleines Häuschen und eine schöne Laube im Garten zum Draußensitzen. Die Vermieterin Vera und ihre Tochter sind sehr herzlich und stets hilfsbereit bei Fragen. San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra als Ausflugsziele sind nicht weit, sehr schön und vom Tourismus nicht überlaufen ist der nahegelegene Ort Casole d'Elsa, in dem wir desöfteren abends zum Essen waren. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

großzügige und warmherzige Gastgeber

Home away from home. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Als wir sehr spät angereist sind und für sonntags nichts zum Essen dabei hatten, wurden wir großzügig mit allem was ein Frühstück braucht, versorgt. Bei der Abreise hatten wir auch die Möglichkeit den wertvollen, biologischen Olivenöl direkt beim Erzeuger zu kaufen. Mit frischen, italienischen Kräuter und Lavendelsäckchen fuhren wir dann doch... nach Hause. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Danke Vera und Monica!

A cottage in the country

Caggio di Sotto was a nice place to stay in Tuscany. It was not far from Siena and other hilltop towns we wanted to visit. As well, because it is located on a farm it is quiet, something we seek out. The environment was lush, green, and lovely. We had the stone cottage, which allowed us to come and go whenever we wished. The stone walls provide no insulation, so it was quite cold inside when we arrived. The pellet stove can handle only one room at a time. The kitchen had all the appliances one expects except a microwave oven, which we would have appreciated for reheating tea and coffee. There is a heated towel rack in the bathroom, and we appreciate that. Our host, Vera, was quite cordial and spoke French, a language we share, so we had several good conversations. Caggio di Sotto is a good base for day trips around this part of Tuscany and there are several restaurants (we recommend Futura Osteria) a few minutes drive away. It is also a nice area in which to stroll through olive orchards and verdant fields.

Bonjour, Nous avons passé 3 semaines dans cette location située en campagne mais proche de toutes les commodités et des sites touristiques principaux. Nous connaissions déjà Colle-di-Val-d'Elsa et avons beaucoup apprécié le calme et l'absence de nuisance pour cette location qui dispose d'un magnifique jardin. La qualité de l'accueil et la gentillesse de Vera ont concouru à faire de notre séjour un moment agréable. Amoureux de la Toscane, nous reviendrons. A bientôt Vera, Dominique et Corinne (Paris).

Nous sommes venus pour une semaine de vacances et nous avons très bien apprécié : l'accueil des propriétaires charmants et disponibles parlant aussi le Français. Mini vacanza dal 02/01 al 05/01 ma posto bellissimo, la Sig.ra Vera e' eccezzionale, lo consiglierei a tutti. l'appartamento pulito e in buonissimo stato. l'unica cosa che secondo noi manca e' un divano per godere il caminetto..bellissimo!

C'était notre deuxième séjour dans cette location, et nous espérons bien qu'il y en aura un troisième! C'est un secret que l'on voudrait garder pour soi! Tout est beau ici...
