Hi Pauline, Thank you so much for your review, we do hope you had a wonderful time. Unfortunately this region is more expensive to stay in, as there is limited accommodation for the amount of tourist visiting. This property is the absolute cheapest in our portfolio and there is not much at all this price in the whole of Coles Bay, it is also peak season. It is a "self contained" holiday house. Although we do not supply shampoo etc, we do supply lot's of extra's such as al foil, salt & pepper, cooking & olive oil, tea, coffee sugar & all dish washing items. Unfortunately we do need some house rules & guidelines in place & this is no offence to guests staying that are respectful (sorry a bit confused about you saying they were everywhere?). The guidelines are on one A4 sign that sits on the bench & the one in the back of the compendium. Some are in place for the safety of guests, things guests may need to know to make their stay more enjoyable, as well as advising of possible extra cleaning charges if the house is left in an unreasonable condition. I wish we did not have to have this, but now that we do, we do have guests most of the time be respectful. You would not believe what our cleaning team walk into sometimes when guests have left every item used in the kitchen and we are cleaned caked on food and spending an extra hour doing someone's dishes. I wish we didn't need to advise what is acceptable and what isn't, but it is the nature of this industry. We certainly don't ask guests to clean the facilities in the house, but just to leave it reasonable. Our cleaning team have very high standards.
