"Our room was very clean"

"The property is very good for relaxation. If you want touristy vibe, night life and activities to do within walking distance stay on the Dutch side. There is nothing close by the hotel besides a grocery store, pizza restaurant by the way it was really good and a laundry mat. They do offer transportation however it can get very pricey depending how often you leave the property. They only accept euros and speak 100% French with some English. Dutch side is English speaking. If you stay on the French side you will also need to purchase a phone adapter to use as their outlets are like the outlets in Europe. The Dutch side has American outlets."

"We had a wonderful stay here. Our corner room had two balconies, which was wonderful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were on the street side, which had a little bit of noise from the bar restaurant across the street but nothing that was too bad. The pool is in a rather peculiar place since it sits at the edge of a restaurant next to the hotel, but the beach is lovely with beach chairs, and umbrellas provided. Great location for walking to several restaurants and a lovely French bakery for breakfast/snacks. Easy to get to either Phillipsburg by taxi or the French side and very close to the airport. The only con was the hairdryer. It would’ve taken me our entire vacation to dry my thick hair. "

"We have been to St Martin 5 times, this being our first stay at Oyster Bay resort. We loved the property and its proximity to Orient Beach and Grand Case. The layout of the resort is great, with a beautiful infinity pool as well as access to the beach. Unfortunately, there was significant sargassum in the water and on the beach which is unusual for this time of year. We did rent a car so were able to visit and enjoy beaches that were not affected. There are two restaurants on site, each with different menus and reasonable prices. The hotel also offers happy hour daily with 2 for 1 drinks. With our reservation a continental breakfast was included daily which consisted of toast, croissants, coffee and juice. The downside of this was waiting on line in the morning at the Veranda to get it to go which was a slow process. Maybe having a continental breakfast area set up so guests can help themselves would make it easier to get their continental breakfast. Our room was clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find a large refrigerator with an icemaker. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at Oyster Pond Beach Resort."

"All the rooms in the villas had ocean view. The balcony was clutch. The beach was lovely. If all the chairs and grass umbrellas were taken they could set us up with a green umbrella and chairs. We loved having the kitchenette and the market was walkable. The market on the main road was larger and more affordable but the market across the street was hella convenient. The pharmacy was walkable too. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was ok. Loved exploring nearby st barths and Anguilla. And really enjoyed taking a taxi to penil island for the day. Overall an amazing stay and I’d highly recommend. Buccaneer bar was best on sat nite. The live music on that day was incredible and a local band from Sint Maarten "

"The room was spotless and I do mean spotless, We had three full sets of towels and bathroom supplies were generos. Staff couldn't do enough to assist us with whatever we needed. We had breakfast on the premises where the staff, Nina, Devon and another young man were wonderful. The cook was great and all the meals were well above average. All were so friendly and very invested in pleasing their patrons!"
