About this property

Grade II Listed Tudor Cottage in the Heart of Constable Country

  • Tegfan is a beautifully restored Grade II Listed Tudor cottage sitting in the heart of Dedham High Street — one of England's most picturesque villages, right in the centre of Constable Country. Unlike many "Dedham" listings that are actually situated in surrounding villages and require a car to reach the village itself, Tegfan sits directly on the High Street, with free reserved parking included — everything you need, from gastropubs to independent shops, is within easy walking distance.

Just one hour from London by train, Dedham offers miles of unspoiled countryside for walking, cycling, kayaking and paddleboarding, with world-class gastropubs and independent shops on your doorstep.

The cottage sleeps up to 3 guests across two bedrooms — a queen double and a single — with two bathrooms including a deep bath and rain shower, a spacious downstairs reception room and a cosy upstairs snug. Outside, a private enclosed patio with electric Ninja Woodfire BBQ awaits in the warmer months.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, dining area for four, parking, Wi-Fi, central heating and hairdryer. A sofa bed in the upstairs snug is available on request.

Tegfan was named by our Welsh grandmother, who told us it meant "Happy Place." We hope it lives up to its name.
