Great place to stay if you are visiting to hang out at the lake and walk into town. It was great place for my friend's sweet dog to be able to join us.
In town for a wedding. Venue and downtown only 4 minutes away. Had a great time exploring. No time to use kayaks or bikes but available. Home was so clean. A/C worked well. Quiet neighborhood

Pleasant stay. The owners went above and beyond for us
Prefect place in Coeurd'Alene, close to everything, stocked and ready to just bring your bag and food, full kitchen, laundry and awesome neighborhood! Thank you!!
We stayed during the end of July so we could spend the week at silverwood without kids. It was a perfect distance away. We also spent a couple evenings at the beach close to the house. The location is perfect. Can hear a bit of noise from the joining side but we were out all day most of the days. Also close to the natural food markets and Costco.
Cute, cozy art deco style home. Master bed so comfortable but the double under the bunk, not so much. If the couch is a Kick Klack we couldn't figure it out...but got in late. Thanks for the coffee.
The living room in this townhouse was very roomy for our family of five. I loved the decor. Our kids enjoyed playing in the big front yard. The bathroom was tiny, but we were only there one night. We followed the owner’s directions for trying to keep the house cool, but by bedtime it was still miserably hot. It was difficult to fall asleep, even with the small fans in each room. I’d suggest bringing your own fans for the bedrooms if you’re visiting in the warmer months.
They cancelled on us last minute and didn’t return any of the funds including the fx change. Please get this dealt with asap and quit sending how was your stay emails as we didn’t stay there.

Canceled day of reservation
Andrew canceled my stay the day of my reservation with no sort of compensation for the extra costs I had to book a new place same day. I was notified at 3 am and there was no other communication or reply’s from him. Very disappointing, I do not recommend booking with him.

Cozy and close to downtown
The bedrooms are on the small side as is the bathroom but our group of 6 had enough sleeping room by utilizing the futon couch in the livingroom, and the hot water heater is fantastic keeping up with all of us showering daily and both bedrooms had window air conditioners. Bring your own pepper as we only found salt, and a garlic spice mix but there are coffee filters! We missed having a mixing bowl and a spatula for the grill. The duplex is cozy although you can sometimes hear the other guests in the attached unit, so be kind and close doors gently if you come in late, but otherwise unnoticeable. There is a washer and dryer, which was nice when we needed to wash the lake out of our swimsuits! The back yard is nice with picnic tables and a large shade tree. We only watched the Netflix once, we were so busy, but the WiFi was fast enough for us all to get our daily "facebook fix" while a movie played. The place is close to downtown, a very short drive, maybe 5 minutes.
Of the two units (side by side) we were notified upon arrival that we were to take the unit on the LEFT - I believe we booked the unit on the RIGHT.
As we arrived at the property we found that we would have to park under the sagging limbs of an overgrown tree in the yard / street. After taking the bags out of the car we found a partially muddy sidewalk to drag our bags over. Then greeted by dead plants and plaster falling off the front of the house. After opening the front door we found the rotted floor just inside the door. Plaster to the left of the fireplace was severely cracked and about to fall off. Wiring by the fireplace was definitely not to code with extension cord hanging loosely. Left immediately and notified the owner immediately. - NO refund Only the deposit was refunded. Spoke directly to the owner through HomeAway

Castle of cast offs
Had an unusual VRBO experience. There are two units side by side. The owner sent several lengthy emails and a rambling voicemail with multiple changes before I arrived. The unit I was supposed to stay in had shower plumbing problems, a slow drain, so they were having me stay in the "nicer" unit. I arrived after dark. The porch lights do not work which added a challenge to entry. When I went to shower before bed, I found the shower had no water. I called owner and he tried to help by having me shower in the other unit as it was unoccupied. This means traipsing over to the other unit in the dark. Not very relaxing on a getaway. The drain was not working in the second unit, but at least it had water. He sent his young daughter to assist and she was clearly unprepared to manage a plumbing concern. The furnishings were lackluster. They definitely seem to be cast offs from college days. Uncomfortable. The kitchen items and appliances were also used castoffs not in the best condition Sprinklers hit the window waking me up in the night, but the plants out front were dead/dying. Once dawn came I could see that the yard was a mess with camper and trailer vintage boat thing parked in the back. There was a disappointing disconnect from the advertised "castle" and the reality. This was very different from all the other properties I've stayed at through VRBO. I think what it boils down to is this owner seems to be in it for the business aspect, with little to no interest in the hospitality factor. It's not their "passion" and it shows. In my opinion, no Dad should be putting a young daughter into situations where great expectations have been placed upon her that she is clearly unengaged with and unprepared to handle and maintain. It makes for uncomfortable all the way around, daughter, dad, and.....guests.

Very underwhelming
Not our typical VRBO experience.
—When we arrived, we quickly discovered that the window blinds for our daughters’ bedroom were missing leaving a clear view of the beds from the yard/back area. We also noted that there were only 3 barstools for the “dining area;” not conducive for our family of 4. Thankfully, we were able to reach Andrew and Lindsey arrived shortly thereafter to re-hang the blinds damaged by a previous renter and she was able to return later to bring a different barstool. She was very polite and responsive to our concerns.
—As mentioned in a previous review, there is no front porch lighting, despite the fixture. The light in the entry way was also out as were 3 of the 5 bulbs in the living room lamp. This house isn’t in the nicest of neighborhoods so sending our girls out to the truck after dark was not an option. There is also no front screen door as depicted in the ad so we were unable to open up the house in evenings.
—The bathroom has been remodeled, however, the workmanship was shoddy. The house is in need of repair as there is water damage and cracks in the drywall noted throughout.
—The check-out instructions include washing your dishes and returning them to “their proper place,” however, the scrub brush and sponge provided were very dirty. We used minimal dishes for this reason.
—I was hoping to run a quick load of laundry while we were there but the smell on the stairs leading to the basement was foul (think dirty mop water) so we took a pass.
Because of the car show in town during our stay, we were limited in our options. We chose this home with optimism and had hoped to be able to enjoy a few meals there and the kitchen appeared to have everything we would need. This house has the potential to be a nice and quaint rental but as one reviewer indicated, the owners do not appear to be in the business of hospitality but, rather, to make money. The baseboards were dirty, the shower curtain was stained, and there was only 1 washcloth in the entire unit. A walk through of the home by the owners in advance should be the standard. The house (especially the towels) smelled musty. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy time spent in the house.
Great location, close to downtown and the beach. Andrew is so kind and great with communicating.
House is cute. It’s small and basic inside,
it was nice to be able to laundry while staying at the house.
With the summer being exceptionally hot it was hard to keep the place cool even with all the windows and coverings closed. We made do, but would recommend more fans to keep the air moving as the only air conditioner is a window unit in the living room.,
Super cute little house not far from the lake and any store that you may need.. had everything you 2 for your stay. High recommend. Will keep in mind when we go back
We didn't stay at this property. At the last minute, this property wasn't available. But, the host arranged for another property for my friend and me. The place we stayed was in a great location and the property we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Loved this trip to CDA! I'll be back.
It was very close to town, the lake, beaches, shopping and eating, etc.
It worked well for us. I was glad it was pet friendly and that it had a backyard to sit and eat in. they had lots of bikes and kayaks to use which was great!

Not What Was Expected
This property was not advertised as a duplex when I reserved it months ago, so it was a shock to pull up to see you are "on the left side". There does look like there are some improvements going on with landscaping and painting.
First impression, it smelled like chemicals. It was so stuffy inside even when greeted with the air conditioner on. The rooms are tiny....and the furniture was college apartment/thrift store find looking. We found that our sheets did not appear clean, but we did find other sheets to change them. I did contact the owner and he responded quickly saying he hires professional cleaners that also clean million dollar homes...well, they forgot to actually clean this duplex. The floor turned all of our feet and/or socks black, and the vents were so full of dust. The bathroom floor mats looked like they were just shook out and put back down. There was hair stuck to the walls of the shower and wall behind the door. The shower was plugged and retained water when you showered and that was after you struggled to turn the water on. The faucet was so loose that you had to hold tight and pull straight out to turn the water on. The kitchen was stocked with basics, but are so worn and used. Also, we were shocked to discover that the windows were not locked when we put the fans in the second night. We went a whole day with our stuff in the duplex with unlocked windows.
There is no way it should be advertised that 7 adults could fit or sleep in this duplex comfortably. I have teenage kids and it was a struggle. We ended up leaving a day early.
