Charming 2-bdrm downtown Coeur d'Alene Historic Foster Ave-Garden District
Located in the Historic Garden District of downtown Coeur d'Alene, this charming 1960's boutique home is a quiet and private home base from which to explore the nearby resort town, mountains, and lakes. With 2 bright and airy bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed, this cozy retreat is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Just a few blocks from downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. A fifteen-minute walk, or less than a mile drive, to Sanders and other beaches on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Minutes from Tubbs Hill Natural Area. Experience the magic of Coeur d'Alene from this centrally located home.
The bungalow is light, airy, and open with light decor. Original hardwood floors (yes a bit creaky) create a natural warmth. Design elements include natural wooden window frames, solid real wood floors, green vintage laminate on the kitchen floor, an arched passageway to the living room, some stucco walls, built-in closets and drawers (that don't all close perfectly), and solid wood maple kitchen cabinets displaying excellent craftsmanship. This home is not recommended for guests looking for brand-new or modern features.
The property is on a large corner lot with ample street parking as well as a private parking pad. that holds one car. The street parking will work well for trailers, campers, and vehicles towing boats.
The property has a large lawn. It is mowed weekly, and the sprinklers go on early in the morning and late at night (roughly 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.). Senske also attends to property maintenance items including pest control, weed control, lawn aeration, and seeding. WE CANNOT STOP THESE SERVICES FOR GUESTS.
There is a garage on site that is not available for guests.
The laundry room, with a washer and dryer, is located in an unfinished basement. This is a shared space (as it has owner cleaning supplies and is used for storage of personal items) and has not been updated or improved. It is not maintained in mint condition for guest use. The walls and floor are concrete. The space is locked and only available upon request, upon which the door code will be provided. We are happy to share this place with guests who won't hold its unfinished nature against us.
I am a Superhost host and live just a few blocks away and am readily available upon request. Check-in is by key-code with instructions texted the morning of or evening before your stay. These instructions will be personalized and include information on the availability of early check-in or late check-out.
I am happy to make recommendations for food or activities during your stay!

The lodging is quaint and the floors squeak and creak quite a bit. The host provides everything you could need and the neighborhood is quiet. Overall a pleasant experience.
Reasonable price for two bedrooms. Little bit of a walk to downtown but not too bad. Good communication with owner. Clean and all the amenities you need for cooking.

Generally nice house and location. Enjoyed staying
Excellent Bungalow: We stayed 5 nights and found the description of the property to be accurate. The house is super clean and has comfortable beds with a lot of closet space to hang up clothes. We did some cooking and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The location made it easy to walk into town.
Property well maintained. Comfortable beds. The location is excellent and the owners were very responsive. Full kitchen with all your cooking essentials and they provided an AC unit which kept the whole house cool.
We stayed for two nights at this property and had a great visit. It’s in a nice neighborhood close to downtown Coeur d’Alene. The house was just as advertised and we appreciated the AC since it was warm during our trip. The host made check in easy and the house had what we needed for a comfortable stay. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen was well stocked if we had wanted to. I would definitely stay there again when in town.
Charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath rental with a cozy living room and a dining area just off the kitchen. A few small items were missing (like extra K-cups and knives), but they didn’t impact our overall experience. The neighborhood was lovely, with a community garden right across the street that made for a pleasant stroll. I’d definitely stay here again.
We visited Coeur d’Alene to do some biking and were very pleased by the charming home we stayed in. We could quickly access the North Idaho Centennial Trail a few blocks away. Our hosts were very quick to reply to all of my texts and gave great recommendations for local eateries and directions to the trail. We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back someday!
