Awesome house in Kennebec Valley. Dog Friendly! OUTDOOR FUN! w-Wifi!
10/10 Excellent
"Annual deer camp. Really neat camp. Slept 4 and 5 of us really well. Very impressed by how well stocked the house was with things like linens, paper products and kitchen supplies. The only trouble is access. Its built into a hillside so all entries are stairs. We had snow, which we look forward too but outside entries iced up leaving the interior garage stairs. The stairs inside the garage are narrow and steep. You get used to them but theyre tricky for the older crowd. Listing should note the pictured wood stove is not for use. My group and I burn wood at home and were looking forward to warm up by the fire as we often do after a daybin the woods, but its use was not permitted. Totally get it, most people cant be trusted in a pine camp with open flame.Again, neat spot, very comfortable, met our needs very well. If we hunt the forks again, we'll be back!"
Bear Cove Hideaway- Secluded Cabin on Lake Brassua
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin is gorgeous, and we verymuch enjoyed our stay. The hosts were great to deal with and very accommodating. This time of year equates to cedar fly hatches in cabins in the north woods. Not something to be surprised by, however it was very apparent that the cabin had not been vacuumed recently before our arrival due to the amout of dead flies on all surfaces including the beds and counters."
3 BR 22 bed newly renovated restaurant and bar w/ spectacular views of Mt Kineo
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great property for a bunch of close families to hang out together at the lake. It’s not a super posh setting, but all of the amenities described in the description were accurate. TERRY was very helpful in getting ready for our trip."
"The cabin is beautiful and big enough for 8-10 if needed (although we were a small group)! Aside from the quirky toaster, the kitchen was had everything we needed to cook our meals! Trail access was a bit bumpy and had to deal with icy conditions but when we were able to ride, the snowmobiling was fantastic!"
Take advantage of the well-maintained paths and observation decks that provide easy access to viewing these spectacular falls that have one of the highest vertical drops in New England.
