Frankston Motel
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were wonderful! We had a beautiful room; clean and well appointed. Road noise would be the only negative issue I can mention."
Perfect Cosy Retreat Cottage Russki Country Sauna & Spa Cottage Hut
10/10 Excellent
"I organised this stay as a surprise birthday gift for my wife and it was! Chris was terrific to deal with and gave us a few good suggestions for dinner (and Wildgrain was a very good recommendation - thanks!). A weekend full of saunas, spas and just relaxing was exactly what we needed, and we can recommend it easily."
Large Beachside House + 2 Queen Studio Suites, Sleeps up to 12, on Mills Beach
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous property. We rented all three parts (upstairs and both self contained units) for our family reunion and it was perfect. We had separate spaces for adults and kids and then the huge living areas for communal time. The kitchen really is fitted out with everything you could ever need and we all loved the massive couch. Elle, the host, was great to deal with. Finally the location is spot on. The beach is just steps away and the shops an easy 5-10min walk. We loved watching the parrots nesting in the trees and glimpses of the sea from the balcony. It really gave us an Australian experience for our US cousins. Can’t recommend this place enough and would love to get back sometime soon."
"Our overall experience was positive, the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the feel of the place was welcoming. Having a little balcony out the back was nice to relax."
"Overall room was ok, clean and tea/coffee making available. The bed seemed quite hard to my wife but was ok for me. TV did not work on free to air channels so could only get 9Now digital and couldnt download any other TV apps."
"The unit was perfect. We have stayed in many properties in Mornington in the past 12 years, this unit is the best by far! It was very clean, very roomy and had a beautiful aspect overlooking the bay. Communication with the owners was very easy and they were very helpful."
"Shelley was an excellent host - there was a problem with the pool on arrival - she sorted this out as quickly and efficiently as possible - she also offered us a refund for the days it took to correct. The property and facilities were as advertised "
"Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at Retro Retreat, which completely ruined our New Years eve experience down in Mornington. The owner advised me just a few hours before check in that the couch was broken and they replaced it with three lawn chairs instead. I was travelling with my toddler as well as my senior parents. It was totally unacceptable to have nowhere comfortable to sit. The entire house is really disgusting. The kitchen is old and full of ants. There is a back room they advertise as a 'games room' although it looks like a haunted house and stinks like animal pee. The furnishings are advertised as retro but everything is from Kmart. The garden is completely untidy with weeds growing out everywhere and nowhere to sit or for kids to play. There were broken plugs on the wall covered up with duct tape, as well as rubbish left from the previous tenants. We REALLY did not want to spend our New Years here but it was impossible to find other accommodation at the last minute. We ruined our evening trying to find somewhere else to go and dealing with unhappy parents. Luckily the owner refunded our booking after discussing the issues with her. I will say that she was understanding and her communication is great. I just think this property needs to be upgraded and cleaned or just taken off this site entirely. It's totally not suitable to be rented out at all."
