Amazing! Lindsey & Jason were super friendly, down to earth & accomodating! Place is super cute, super clean & has everything you need!! If ever in that area again this is the only place I would stay!
Very welcoming and comfortable. I travel with my dog and it’s great to have a fenced in yard attached to the apartment. Hosts are wonderful! How often do you get to experience a working horse farm? Loved it and will return.
Pleasant accommodation with complete kitchen and excellent internet. Enjoyed seeing the horses. Fenced in area for our dog was a plus.
Only suggestion I have would be to add a couple comfortable chairs
We stopped in for one cozy, rainy night on our road-trip and enjoyed our time so much! The guest house has everything you need, full kitchen, living room, beautiful bedroom, and the bathroom has a great tub for relaxing. We had a quiet night’s sleep in the big bed. It was so fun to wake up and see the horses and dogs in the stable across the lawn. If we come back through the area sometime, we would love to spend more time and visit the stable!
We admire folks that do good works. It is amazing to experience the love and compassion that these folks provide to these beautiful misfits. The peaceful setting and stay was a humbling experience. The location was great for our visit to Presque Isle in Erie, Pa and then to Cuyoga National Park in Ohio for bike trail rides. Highly recommend a stay and a visits to both of these beautiful parks.

We really liked the place. It was nice having a fenced in yard for the dog. The only thing I wish was different was that we could have walked our dog around the property or down the road but we could not because they have 2 dogs & we respected that. Luckily it was not a problem because we took our dog with us when we went somewhere and gave him a good walk there. So all in all it was perfect for what we needed it for. If we were going to be around the property more with our dog, we probably would not be staying there. The hosts were very respectful of our privacy also. I appreciate that a lot. Five star rating for what it was!
If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay that benefits an extremely worthwhile cause consider staying at Bonnie’s Guesthouse. Lindsay and Jason have an amazing place, set in a beautiful country setting, surrounded by their sweet rescue horses. The VRBO was exactly as pictured and was perfect for us and our three city dogs who were exposed to country living. The guesthouse was very clean, perfect setup for a weekend getaway. We came from NC to Ohio for a family wedding and we were so pleased with this home. Lindsay and Jason were such great hosts but gave us all the privacy we needed. It was amazing to see the amount of love and work they put into caring for the rescued horses. We highly recommend Bonnie’s Guesthouse for anyone looking for a unique experience in a beautiful country setting. Thank you again, Lindsay, for your accommodation.
We were pleased to find that Bonnie's Guesthouse was only minutes from family we were visiting! It was very convenient to travel back and forth. The idea that our payment helped to cover the costs of the horses rescued and rehabilitated by our host was nice to know. The weather was not great and we appreciated the use of the private garage provided. The questions I asked of our host ahead of time were answered quickly, and even though the apartment is attached to their house, we had privacy. A couple of suggestions I would make would be to have a privacy curtain on the side door window in the main living space, and a couple of folding chairs that would fit at the folding table to play games or work on the puzzles provided. We didn't have too much time there, but if we did, those are the things I thought of. I loved how the entrance from the garage led right to the laundry/mud room. Perfect for taking care of wet, dirty shoes, coats, etc...
Easy check in - pull right into garage and walk into unit through the man door from garage - straight into laundry/mud room. If you have pets with you- it is a perfect scenerio set up. They have a beautiful shaded fenced area for your dogs. This is a hard find at this price point and everything available in one unit.
I didn't catch the no air conditioning but it was absolutely okay, we opened the windows and ran the curling fans. Never once felt hot. Our evening was spent on the porch relaxing watching the horses & birds. The unit has everything you need for a stay away from home. Maybe come back next time when the weather is cold to utilize that wood burner!
Thank you for sharing this unit.
Very peaceful and comfortable stay just minutes from downtown chardon. The side yard was also perfect for my pup to play in. It was lovely watching the horses outside the guest house and I enjoyed the barn tour to meet them in person. Overall a very pleasant and welcoming visit!
Lindsey and her husband are so warm and welcoming! The room was clean and ready for us. We loved the fenced in area for our pets and the beautiful view of the horses and acreage. It was a little chilly so they came over and helped us make a fire. Bed was very comfortable. Nice restaurants close. Just an overall great stay and experience. We look forward to coming back!
We loved the side yard for our pup and enjoyed seeing and learning about the horses. The interior design is simple and tasteful. The host was very communicative.
