The rooms feel they have not been maintained for over a decade. The bath towels were thin and worn out - there were only two electrical sockets and neither accomodated a foreign plug. Definitely not staying there again

My wife and I recently stayed at The Langham Hotel in Jakarta. I’ve had the good fortune to stay at many 5-star hotels including Ritz Carltons, Shangri-Las, Conrads, etc. and four other 5-star hotels in Jakarta but this was the first time I’ve stayed at a Langham. I can honestly say that, based on my experience, The Langham is truly in a category of its own. Five stars aren’t enough. The facilities are spotless, every dish I tried at their restaurants was outstanding, and the spa is beautiful but what set The Langham apart was the friendliness and genuine warmth of the staff. We were constantly warmly greeted by name everywhere we went in the hotel. There were also little things that no other hotel has provided, such as a microfiber cloth for cleaning glasses and a cable tie to organize our USB charger cables left by the housekeeping staff. A small tin of mints that accompanied our room service meals. Special dishes prepared for us to try by the chefs at the breakfast buffet. While we were there I learned that The Langham is one of only two hotels in Jakarta to be awarded two Michelin Keys (the hotel equivalent of Michelin Stars for restaurants). After our stay there I can see why. The Langham will definitely be at the top of our list the next time we visit Jakarta.

The hotel has a nice fragrance and ambience. Nice soft pillows, blankets, towels and natural based toileteries. Nice facilities and walking distance to the shopping mall

Excellent service. Beautiful hotel with magnificent ambiance, culture, decor and friendly staff. I comment Lucky and Dea as especially helpful and understanding. This should be the only place to stay in Jakarta.
