"They told us up front there was no A/C, but we figured, 70 and raining would be fine. Well was 79 and sunny, and with only one tiny window that only opened 2 inches, the place was like sweatbox.
The upside, is that the staff were wonderful!
The restaurant next door has a great pub, and excellent fish and chips!"

"I literally cried when I entered this beautiful room. The appearance, ambiance, cleanliness, decor, view, amenities was just breathtakingly stunning to me. There was a warmth and welcome here that instantly made me wish I could stay more days! The staff were wonderful and kind and the food, well, the food made me just want to not stop eating! Flavorful, and beautifully plated I took photos of everything! Thank you so so soooo much. I would love to return one day!"
"Colessio is in a great location, walking distance to Stirling Castle, the church, and many pubs. The rooms are nice, beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I do not recommend the breakfast, it was overpriced for what was provided."
"The pre arrival information was comprehensive and we had no problems finding the accommodation, gaining access and parking. The area was perfect for sightseeing, if needed the hop on bus stopped jest a minutes walk away. We also arranged a visit to the observatory at the Stirling Highland Hotel which was close by so thanks to Bert for that. The accommodation was high quality and had everything you need either to cook at home or make a light meal. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We didn’t need the bunk rooms but the two main rooms were large and nicely decorated. Fans were available if needed and there was an outdoor space to sit ( great as we had lovely weather). We really appreciated the welcome pack and the chalk board with recommendations for visits and where to eat.We were at the jail so that was a must see as was the Castle just a few minutes walk away and the local church. The Portcullis pub was between those two buildings so great for drinks and a meal. Lots of places nearby for food and drink to suit everyone’s needs.Brea was lovely for local fayre and don’t miss brunch at Vera. I recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the area - I don’t think you could do better. Thanks to our hosts. "
