"It's an old mansion, it feels like you stay in a museum, basically living in a 19th century Spanish court yard. It's amazing! As for a hotel, amenities are old, blankets are not the cleanest, but the AC is excellent. Location is great, right at center of everything that the history and culture offer at Santo Domingo, the oldest city in las americas. This experience is not something you can ever find in a modern hotel. Living here for just one night makes me fall in love with the history of the city and country."

"Everything about the hotel is very nice. It had clean spaces from the room and throughout the hotel, with polite helpful staff, but the only negative I had is the rooms air conditioner never really cool the room efficiently."

"It’s a nice basic hotel that is worth the value. If it were any more expensive, then it may not be worth it but otherwise the hotel is not a bad spot. I actually booked it another day when I return back to the city in the same week. The towels are dirty looking, but they are actually claimed as I can smell that they were clean, but they just look very old but not bad quality you can tell when they were new 15 years ago that they were good quality towels they’re just a little gray out even though they’re white towels. I’m exaggerating a little bit for lack of a better way to describe it And Rushing through this review. "

"Greeted and taken to our room immediately. The gentleman help carry up luggage. He then took us to a store close by for a beer. The room could have use a new bed. Spouse had the breakfast and said it was really good. We would stay here again."
