"Massive thank you to Gilles and his wife for an amazing stay at this property. The photos, whilst accurate, do not do the house justice. It is truly amazing (and huge). We stayed for 2 weeks. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Saumur. Check in was easy and it was lovely to be met at the property and shown around, even when we were much later arriving than anticipated. The house is spotless and has everything you could possibly need. The indoor pool is a rare luxury, considering the location, with the added bonus of a fantastic games room with pool table, pinball and table football. You can never be bored in this house. Communication with Gilles was excellent and he gave great recommendations about what to see in the area. I really can’t rate this house highly enough. I can’t wait to go back. "

"We wanted to have one chateau stay as a cap-stone event accommodation to our trip to France, and this exceeded our expectations. The price was extremely reasonable. We visited Chateau de Villandry, which is only 15 minutes away. The room was spectacular and the service is exceptional. The breakfast each morning was well worth the price, but the dinner was truly amazing. Without a doubt, this was our top dining experience in France, including wonderful meals in Paris, Bayeux and Brittany."

"After seeing mixed reviews I had been concerned but for the price we paid this place is amazing. We were lucky to have been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt, which I would book first time if we came again as see that the one bed would be small for 4. It had everything we needed (except a fan) Like everyone else who stayed whilst the weather was around 35 degrees, we struggled with the heat and no air con, had to sleep with the bedroom door open (we had a ground floor apartment but it felt safe). It would have been nice if they could have provided fans."
