"This property is run by a lovely Ecuadorian couple, Elva and Jimmy. Everything was easy and smooth. We wanted to go whitewater rafting and they took care of all the details. It's in a neighborhood just below the hike/stairs to the Virgen viewpoint. It's very quiet and safe, but the setting was a bit more "in town" than I expected from the photos. The location, though, wound up being very convenient. We walked into the center of town several times but since we had a car, we also drove a few times. If you are with a group or just want to relax at the end of the day, there's a very nice social space where you could grab a beer or soda and hang out. Breakfast was delicious and included friendly conversation. Highly recommend, I would definitely stay here again. "

"Well priced budget hotel. About a 20 minute walk from the old historic central, but we took a walking route down stairs that avoided traffic. The old town itself is beautiful with murals and restored colonial buildings. "
