it was a nice motel, the room was okay but the price paid understandable. the staff were friendly and answered any questions. the location even being on the main road was quiet.

pet friendly
It was good for us as we had our fury friend but very noisy next to the main road but convenient to shops and hotels.

The whole experience was terrible. The room was tiny, outdated, with leaking taps and beds from the 70’s. Paint peeling off the shower floor, which was in desperate need of repair. The railing on the smokers deck is wobbly and unsafe. The manager kept trying to come into the room with tradesmen, while the baby was sleeping, and my daughter getting dressed. His dog roamed freely in and out of the room. A totally unpleasant experience over all. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

I dont mind honest reviews, but when you write this rubbish because you were told off and asked to leave the Motel for continually breaking our NON SMOKING rules we dont want you back anyway

Location was excellent with lovely view through the few trees to ocean. Motel manager very helpful and friendly. Although complex was old it had most facilitites and was confortable. Would stay there again.

Great for a stopover
We only had a stop over at this place so it was all we needed. Large room, seperate shower and toilet which was good. The beds were fine, typical motel style beds. Room was clean and we had a room at the back of the motel so there was no roadside noise. I would stay here again if I was passing through.

Avocado Motor In. Enjoying ones Stay.
Avocado Motor Inn was an enjoyable time which I very much appreciated. Hospitality was great and cleaning ness very good l would recommend this place to anyone as l will endeavour to return again at a later Date

The room had everything in it. It was a budget room, but for an overnight stay on a long driving trip very suitable.

Comfortable Stopover
This is a comfortable stopover for anyone needing an overnight rest. The owners were courteous, friendly and helpful as they welcomed me to their motel. Bearing in mind that it is rated 3 stars, don't expect luxuries. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was hot! There were the basic facilities you would expect in any motel room - kettle, fridge, iron, toaster, TV - as well as free WiFi. The biggest drawback is that it is right on the highway and quite noisy.

The beds are fine although the room is tired. Parking is tight. Reception put out the rules but could have been a friendlier delivery.

The lady was rude, my husband got locked in the toilet due to a dodgy door handle. The facilities were in much need of an upgrade. the price was not good value for money. I would not recommend staying here

Convenient location on the highway
This was a stopover on our trip & was conveniently located. It was a bit noisy from trucks going past but was otherwise everything we needed.

Which is a mere 250m from the nearest shopping centre, where you may have found Woolworth's Supermarket, several specialty stores as well as cafe & take-away shops. We are also a leisurely 7-8 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to the centre of town. We look forward to having you join us again the next time you visit Childers.

Hello Lyle Thank you for your review, I apologise for my delayed response. I am extremely disappointed to hear of your experience at our Motel as this is the first we've heard of the issues you mention here. I do wish you had taken the time to bring your concerns to our attention during your stay, rather than by way of a review afterward, as this would have given us an opportunity to rectify them for you and ensure you a continued pleasant stay with us. With regards to the ants in your room, no subsequent guests have complained of this issue and upon inspection by myself I see no current evidence of this in any of our rooms, so we can only assume it was an isolated and unforeseeable incident. We do have several room types & sizes, and we note you booked the cheaper room type which is our smallest. Most properties, including ours, publish their room sizes however it is an often overlooked when deciding on a room type, so we can understand why you may not have received a room of the size you were hoping for. We thank you again for your review.

as this is about half way to our destination from home it is a great stopover for us, clean and comfortable and on the N side of town. Run by the owners who always friendly and helpful.

On the A1, just on the edge of the town.
Nice sunrise view. There are trees along the property boundary to hide the fact that you are on the side of the A1, and I think it works as it does give me the impression of seclusion. Rooms are very clean and everything works as expected. The hosts were very accommodating They have guidelines that help us to make the stay enjoyable for everyone, and I like that.
