We recently stayed in the family block over the weekend and had a really lovely stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet – perfect for a restful night. Parking was easy, and the breakfast was nicely cooked and delicious. The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again!

Filled all our needs

Well where do you start Car park plenty of space Reception a lovely welcome and introduction to the hotel Room clean smart comfortable nice bed pillows and sheets Free toiletries Bathroom personally I found small but I am a large chap so probably should have asked Nice bathroom modern looking just little bits like limescale on the shower door handle and a cover missing on the shower door and the shower head leaked not enough to cause a problem but water ended up pooling outside the shower not a show stopper The bar was nice again great staff and reasonably priced drinks The evening meal was fantastic The Sunday carvery is one of the best I’ve had All in all I’m going to be back

A bit ofa gem.

Excellent welcome from cheerful, friendly, helpful staff. We weren't expecting the varied and interesting menu, so were pleased to have the choices we could, and what we chose was excellent. The bed was a bit on the small side, but we knew that when we booked. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of options. Despite being close to the motorway noise was not a problem. The information on the hotels.com website is wrong - there is a receptionist but not 24 hrs and there is free car parking. A good place to take a break - or for a lunch stop instead of a crowded service area.

To be honest, travelling in the world with my job the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was only small but our choice, however it was modern, spotlessly clean and bed was very comfy

Great hotel!

Good clean modern room, individual room temperature control via thermostat, the usual tea/coffee making facilities, plus a hairdryer! Staff friendly and helpful, plentiful parking and very convenient location 30 seconds from junction 29 M1. Restaurant menu good pub grub, food well presented and tasty Would definitely book here again

A very good hotel

The hotel is very clean. The facilities of the hotel are high quality, so I feel very comfortable at the hotel. The location is quite close to Matlock, so it is very convenient to view a few attractive places near Matlock. It is value for the money. Highly recommended.

Pleasant hotel

I stay in many hotels on little getaways and this is one off the most pleasant I’ve stayed staff was very polite and friendly and all in all a good hotel. My only negative is that when we enter room was a damp smell but that being said the room was very tidy and clean.

Small but very comfortable room

Small room but very comfortable. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The wall to the hallway is a bit thin as I was woken up at 5 am by someone checking out of the hotel. But quickly got back to sleep, and would stay again.
