Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
It’s a shame the bathroom issue it had a leak was not rectified before our stay as this was an issue weeks before but the cottage was great apart from that and location was ok to walk into bourton
Lovely house, 20 minutes walk into the centre which was perfect. Easy to walk dog in the area. Great to have 2 parking spaces. Beds very comfortable which made for excellent sleeping. Lovely walk to the Lower and Upper Slaughter villages which were beautiful- just be mindful there is about 50m on a footpath next to a busy road.

A Great Long Weekend
We stayed at Cedar Cottage for a long weekend in February. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and well located to be able to visit a number of places and attractions in the area. This was our first visit to The Cotswolds and we will definitely return, and would stay at Cedar Cottage again.

Perfect location, lovely house for our stay in the Cotswolds
We had a wonderful stay at Cedar Cottage. The house was clean and tidy, with plenty of storage space available. The lounge was comfortable and cosy, we loved the imitation fire, but the TV has seen better days. The kitchen diner had everything we needed for our visit. We had no issues with the showers whilst there. Added bonus was being able to park on the driveway and unload the car via the back door. Although, Cedar Cottage is located at the start of the housing estate, we did not have any noise issues from the nearby industrial estate during our stay. Perfect location in the middle of the Cotswolds, within 30 minutes drive of many of the popular visitor attractions. Appreciated receiving the advanced guide and offers from StayCotswold, very informative. Highly recommend using them and staying at Cedar Cottage.

Wonderful stay, beautiful Cotswold home with all the comforts of home.
Lovely family home with everything you need for a long weekend stay. Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Kids loved the games that were provided. Only negative is that the home is slightly further out of time than I thought so you have to have a car.

Beautiful home from home. Faultless.
Lovely property. Absolutely spotless. Short and pleasant walk into the village. Comfortable beds and a nice garden that is totally safe for dogs - even Houdini dogs like ours! Will definitely come back. 11/10

Lovely cottage
Great property in fantastic location. Very responsive when we couldn’t work out the heating - our fault we tried to make it too complicated. Allowed us a late checkout. Very well stocked with all the basics and lovely garden

Brilliant modern house in a great location
You always wonder if the house will look like the pictures and this one really does. We had a lovely stay with our family and a dog. The kitchen was a perfect size and all the bedrooms are good sizes as well.
The green was just right for the family and the dog and a nice sun trap. The location is great just a short 10minute walk into the centre of the village as you can take a short cut down the footpath. It was lovely to do this in the evening to walk the dog and see Bourton-on-water a bit quieter as sometimes on a hot day it can get very busy.

Home from home
A lovely home away from home, which had just about everything you could ask for in a holiday home.
It was a little noisy first thing in the morning, being on the edge of a small industrial estate, that said there was very little noise for the rest of the day.
Other people have commented on the distance into the village, we are in our 70’s and it took 13 minutes at a leisurely pace to get there. It took even less time to get to Hawkstone brewery, (but maybe a bit longer on the way back)

A beautiful cottage for holidays in the Cotswolds
The cottage is spacious and very well-equipped, allowing us to spend two wonderful weeks there. The distance to the center of Bourton-on-the-Water (a 20-minute walk) didn't bother us. In fact, it allowed us to escape the hustle and bustle of the village.
Contact with StayCotswold prior to our trip was very good.
Housekeeping needs improvement. For example, the vacuum cleaner hadn't been emptied upon our arrival, and the nozzle was clogged. The toilet brush could use replacing. The cupboards and drawers were dusty, so we put our clothes on one of the beds. According to the information folder, the rubbish was supposed to be collected weekly. We were there for two weeks, and none of it was collected. Accordingly, it became quite full.

Mid week stay
We were 4 adults & dog, would have found the sleeping & sitting arrangements tight if there had been 6 of us.The third bedroom barely had enough room for a double bed.Great having a utility room, garden would have been fine if needed.Parking for 2 cars down side of house easy.Despite being on the edge of Bourton Industrial estate we found the location great, walks galore.footpaths in every direction.Easy stroll into Bourton, 15mins, great pubs. Most dog friendly place we have ever visited. We were all aware of the traffic noise early in the morning, would certainly not deter us from booking this property though.

Lovely house but missing a few essentions
Our stay at Cedar Cottage was overall very pleasant experience but a few things let down what was a very nice place.
It advertised having a slow cooker but it didn’t have one and the caretaker never came back to us on this point.
It was missing basics like oven gloves, black bin bags, etc. There was a single frying pan which for a property accommodating 6 people is unrealistic.
Finding out information about the house before booking was painful - relatively simple requests for cot size that was provided and stair width (due to stair gates not being provided) had to be requested numerous times before finally being received a couple of days before the stay.
The above aside, the house was lovely, beds very comfortable and we had a lovely holiday.

A very comfortable stay
We booked Cedar Cottage last minute as Sykes Cottages cancelled our booking at the last minute, and while it wasn't the idyllic cottage in the Cotswold that I had hoped for, it was a very warm, cosy and comfortable retreat.
We were a party of 4 adults (2 couples) and found the house to be the perfect size. Could be a bit tight with 6 adults.
It was well equipped and contained everything we needed (basic instructions for the oven would be helpful). Being a new build it was modern, in excellent condition and warm with plenty of parking.
The house is well located on the edge of Bourton on the Water with easy access to the town and lots of different walks.
It is on the edge of the industrial / retails area so can be a bit noisy, imagine more so in the week.
The cleaning company were our point of contact and were very helpful and allowed us an early check in at no extra charge.
A couple of things to note: the ensuite toilet has no lid. Needs replacing!!
Well established cobwebs in several rooms.
Needs new garden furniture before the summer.
Overall it was excellent value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Autumn break
The house was well presented with ample room for 4 adults.
Downside- grill was dirty, shower leaked in main bathroom, gate broken. The latter two issues had previously been identified in the guest book.
Good location for touring the Cotswolds.
