"When we entered our room it smelled damp and was unbearably hot, with little air despite the windows being open and a desk fan on full blast. There was an air conditioning unit in the room but it was broken. We were told we had to prebook aircon. We were given another room after complaining which was in a cooler wing and were supplied an additional fan. This room also had an air conditioning unit but it was not working. We managed to sleep okay with open windows and additional fans but were not overly impressed regarding the explanation over aircon availability. Unlikely to book again."

"Located in the heart of Windsor, the Christoper Wren has old world charm and the staff is extremely attentive and helpful. I arrived early, stored my luggage and went off to explore the town. When I returned to check in my bags had already been sent to my room. Nice touch. As it is an old hotel there are stairs to the rooms so I greatly appreciately the help with my bags. The staff at the front desk was extremely attentive and hospitable. The room was spacious, clean and charming. Enjoyed a glass of wine on the outdoor patio overlooking the river. Overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommend and I would absolutely stay again next time I am in Windsor"

Room very quiet and comfortable. Could have done with more tea and milk. Was great having a fridge with plenty of room for our own drinks. Sofa bed allocated to the 2 children was a little small and bouncy (if one moved the other felt it, plus metal frame was exposed) but ok for a couple of nights. Not many plugs or charging points. Would definitely stay again, great location, near the station and all the shops and restaurants. Parked in broad st mall 10 min walk away at a discounted rate."
