"The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. The first two nights stay the thermometer registered 8 degrees! The manager, Wendy Williams, promptly brought extra wood and elelctrical heaters. Unfortunately, the heaters tripped the electrical...

The house is an innovative, green build and how we should all be building houses these days. The composting toilet was a different experience for us - almost seems strange to flush now! "Rather basic, but spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. No hair dryer and only one small bar of soap for three people. No paper towels. Mugs were too small for a normal cup of coffee. Having said all that, I'd happily stay here again. "

"There were 12 of us in total for our stay, adults and young children. Emeline managed to find 3 cots, highchairs/booster seats and baby baths for us which really helped with our young children. We had a lovely time at the house Frederick and Emeline were very friendly and helpful, they live on site but they are not intrusive. Although our group was split over 2 different houses the outside table was large enough for us all to eat together. The best thing was the pool area which was fantastic...

"We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with)."
