The very beautiful place, a lot of tranquility, the very tidy cabin, very nice cabin, I recommend it especially for those looking for days of tranquility and peace.
The cabin was as advertised. In a beautiful area, I could sit and listen to the stream out front forever. The whole family (including the dogs) enjoyed our stay.
This cabin was as pictured or even better. Kitchen was stocked with necessary items to cook meals. The grill, hot tub, and fire pit were all nice. Great spot for a family to get away from city life. As stated cell service is spotty at the cabin.
Property was just as described! The area is beautiful! So is the cabin. We let the kids have the loft area and it was perfect for them. We all loved our stay there. Great communication with the host too.
The home is in a very peaceful setting, tranquil. The come is just as described and is well equipped. The check in and out process was seamless. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Overall a great cabin. Location is just right as it's not too far from the Pinhoti and Bear Creek trail systems. We liked the cabin a lot but it wasn't as clean as it could be. Overall recommend for those who enjoy the outdoors.
My husband and I enjoyed this cabin a lof . It was super clean and it’s quiet and peaceful . Even though it’s summer , the hot tub was very relaxing . You will definetley need 4 wheel drive since the roads leading to it are very rocky and bumpy . We would stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay. The kids had a blast in the creek. The property is well maintained and very clean. It also is private and while there are a few cabins nearby we didn’t see anyone during our week long stay. The only thing to consider is the drive to get to the cabin is long and about 30 minutes from town. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin.
This place is gorgeous. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this was one of the cleanest. Kudos to the cleaning crew! I have nothing negative to say. Beautiful creek, comfy beds, quiet and secluded. We had no issues with wifi and were able to stream our DirectTV with no issue.
Wonderful place to get away from all the noise! Cabin is beautiful and was just what we were looking for. Beautiful wooded area well off the beaten path. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. So peaceful. Everyday stresses will melt away. Highly recommended.
A beautiful quiet place on the mountain with the sound of the trickling creek. The VRBO descriptions are very accurate. The house was equipped with everything that we needed. It was a very enjoyable time.
Just what my friend and I hoped for but better than we expected. We're both seniors from around Atlanta who love the mountains. The cabin is lovely and the peace and quiet of the location was really amazing and . . .well, restorative for us. We did some short hikes, found some beautiful scenery, enjoyed restaurants in Ellijay, and just overall had a wonderful time.
Remote property. Very quiet and beautiful. The water running through the property is so peaceful. House is very well stocked and very clean. Water with sulfur smell. They did provide a water filter for drinking.
Second time we’ve been at the cabin, and it has been a great experience from beginning to end. Great communication with the owner. Very clean. Beautiful fireplace at an amazing creek. Our dog loves the property. About 30 minutes away from town up in the mountains. No cellphone reception and internet depends on weather conditions — exactly what we need from time to time. Will definitely come back again!
We are so pleased with everything about our stay. The cabin was beautiful and immaculate. The location was spectacular. We didn’t have internet or phone service. We were told it might be spotty and it was. However we were able to email weirdly enough. We were able to watch Netflix. We really loved the break from civilization. Our dog super loved it. This property is an absolute gem.
Our visit was wonderful despite the storms that we had. The cabin is cute and cozy, had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook breakfast and supper as we enjoyed lunch in town. So much do within a short driving distance.
I felt bad as i always vacuum, start all laundry and do a good clean of the area before we leave, but a storm came through over night and knocked the electricity out. So we couldnt do those precheck out things i like to do.
The owners were sweet when we needed to reach out or just to ask a question prior to the visit. Definitely reccomend to anyone as we didnt mind the spotty wifi and no cell service.
The cabin was super clean and cozy. All of the beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra linens, dishes, games, movies, and basically everything else you would need. The property is very secluded and quiet. There are a few neighbors but most were vacant when we were there. It is absolutely gorgeous out there. The noise of the creek was so relaxing. We enjoyed swinging on the porch swings, hanging out in the hot tub, playing in the creek, and sitting by the fire at night. The only drawback is that it is 30 minutes to the nearest town and the roads are a bit tricky. And cell service/wifi are spotty. But it was nice to unplug and get away from all of that for a bit.
This is our second time renting a property anywhere and it was lovely! The cabin was clean and as described. Definitely a great one for kids- both inside and out. The creek was calming and played in by my young children multiple times a day. It is tucked away so be prepared for a bit of a gravel drive down the mountain! The reception, as mentioned is super spotty, but I absolutely loved it for that reason. Just maybe bring a couple DVD’s with you if you have kids and need a quick break(they do have adult DVDs there). We had a bear and trash incident that was not anyone’s fault at all and the owner took care of it right away! He responded instantly and also gave us great suggestions on hikes and places to visit close by. 10 out of 10, do recommend this lovely cabin by the creek!
Oh my..this cabin was perfect! It was my two sons and self. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. The whole cabin was. I ran disinfectant cloths oven the main surfaces upon arrival, and they were clean. Nothing on the cloths. That speaks volumes to me. The internet was spotty at times, but we went to get away anyhow, and it kept me from working, which was needed. The TV apps worked anytime we tried to watch TV. The creek was amazing. Both of my sons loved playing in it. We even saw a few crayfish. My youngest was fishing. It is a creek-no fish..he didn't know that. MEMORIES. I drive a Mazda 6 amd getting to the property was no problem..gorgeous drive. We will be back!
I have to say I do a lot of cabin rentals, and this was definitely one of the cleanest and very comfortable had all of the things you could possibly need, including a hairdryer lol. The only small complaint would be the Internet connection which interrupts everything from phone calls to movie streaming, but that was a given and already specified by the owner before renting the property. It’s too bad there couldn’t be a better Internet connection. We only say that because my husband got sick and unfortunately we ended up staying the entire time inside of the cabin not venturing out for pretty much anything , so watching movies would’ve been nice but that definitely does not affect my five star rating. It was very relaxing. The sound of the creek was awesome. Much nicer than I expected. I would definitely go back just beware of the Internet especially if you have children that are going to rip their hair out if they wanna play a game otherwise Enjoy it. Unplugged would be my recommend !

No outside lights. No help from host on that.No lights on porch rails, fire pit, stairs leading up to house, or walking bridge used to get to the stairs to the house. The house number is NOT visible from road. A light should be added to show the house number. A light is also needed on the stairs in the house. There were several close calls of falling from our seniors. Brighter lights need to be in each sleeping area as well as the stairs. We were required to wash towels and linen. The three sets of linen cannot all fit in the small washer so we were delayed in our departure time. It was very inconvenient. We were left with half a roll of paper towels for a four day stay. There was no salt or pepper. The pot and pans were old and worn. The dishwasher door was broken, there was no ice maker per se, and the refrigerator top was dusty and dirty. A lot of the pictures and other things attached to walls had dust hanging from them. Stove top was greasy. No hangers in closet. No closet in master. The cabin was exactly as described. Beds were comfortable and gas fire place was beautiful. The pillows were bad. WORSENED pillows EVER. House too close to neighbors. Luckily they were empty. The area was gorgeous, the leaves outstanding, and our trip is one to remember. Listening to the spring by the fire pit was a great experience.
We had a wonderful time staying here, and the place is nice and very well stocked and clean!! Please note – it is VERY remote! The cell service and Wi-Fi went in and out, which wasn't a big problem while we were there- we were trying to get away from all that anyway! But there were bad storms in the area and our power went out a couple of times and we were 3 (not young) ladies, wondering what we would do if we needed emergency care or help. No neighbors close by. The only other thing was- when I first saw the listing it said "3 bedrooms – two baths." There's really only one true bedroom with a door, and then upstairs there is an open loft area with two beds, separated by "rooms", but they didn't have doors so it was really one big open loft area with two beds. This too was not a problem for us, because we are all related and one person took the bedroom and the other two slept upstairs, no problem-- but I just felt like that needed to be made more clear on the listing. But honestly, we had a wonderful time and it is a great place to stay. I will definitely be back!
Unfortunately our stay was cut short 27 hours when on Sunday afternoon a tree fell on the power line going to the cabin ripping the wires and pole coming from the meter completely out of the wall onto the ground. Since the cabin is so remote this not only ended the power but also the running water and the WIFI. This required us to get a motel room in town for the night and about eleven trips up and back down the mountain the next day. We worked with the host, electricians, and the powers company to get the power restored at around 8:00 pm Monday night. No one’s fault really but about two days or diligent work before relaxing could begin. With that said the cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The host did refund us for one missed day but not for the $238 we spent for the hotel room. I guess a bad storm came through a few days prior to our arrival resulting in downed trees everywhere. It was relaxing for three days of the five days we spent there. It is quite a rugged drive of a decent distance to get any type of cell phone service. There is a house phone and WIFI when there is power but when there isn’t….
What a perfect stay! We really enjoyed the stay! The creek running through the property kept my kids entertained for hours! We hardly had a reason to be inside because the thick canopy of trees kept the weather just perfect for being out in nature. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on and I’m picky!
