The hotel lobby etc was nice, location quiet and all the staff were very polite and welcoming. The breakfast had lots of choice. I was really disappointed with my room. There is no bathroom as such just 2 very small black rooms for toilet and shower. I found this really odd and quite claustrophobic. You couldn’t really see that well as limited lighting and black tiles surrounding all walls. It was difficult not to get the floor wet as the shower opened directly into the room. There was no mirror on the desk so had to do my make up over the sink. It was such a strange lay out and really small. The main issue was the window, i was kept up by a noise i originally thought was air con as the room was pretty cold. I checked it was turned off but no change. It was only at around 1am I realised the noise and cool breeze was coming from the faulty window next to the bed. The lower hinge was missing so it was slightly open, this was really concerning as the window was next to a flat roof so anyone could have potentially got in. There was no point ringing staff at that time to move rooms as i was already really tired and only staying 1 night but informed them when i checked out. They were apologetic but would not stay there again or recommend, it wasnt cheap and I felt really uncomfortable. Faulty windows are unacceptable.

The highlight is very good breakfast included in the room rate and very central location! I was travelling alone for work, got upgraded to a family room that is spacious. I’d book again when travelling with my family

My son and I stayed the Templeton Garden for four nights. We received small but adequate room. Unfortunately, there were many, many stains on the carpet, and an unsatisfactory amount of scuffs and dirt on the walls. In the hotel description the room was supposed to have a refrigerator. What the room really had was a box that looked like a refrigerator, but did not have a cold temperature setting. Interestingly, there were multiple items for you to purchase from the non-refrigerator box, including a German sparkling wine that needed to be refrigerated. When I inquired the first time they told me that they would look into why it wasn’t working, and send someone up. That didn’t happen! The next time that I called, they said that it was just a box for storage not a refrigerator. At this point, I was extremely irritated, because after doing tours in London all day and it was 80+ degrees, it would have been nice to come back to a refrigerator with a cold water or Coke zero. The staff gave me the runaround about it on a regular basis. The description from Expedia is inaccurate, and had I known that in advance I would’ve never chosen Templeton Garden. There are dozens of hotels within a 5 to 10 minute walk of this property, go elsewhere, because what is in the description is not what you get.

I’m a wheelchair user and booked an accessible king room. The doors were all wide enough to fit my all terrain wheelchair through and I could fit in the elevator with several people and the doors opened other side so no need to turn or reverse out. Some mirrors were still positioned to standing height in the room though and demonstrated the importance of having an actual disabled person involved in your design process for accessibility. A beautiful room with an accessible wardrobe and mirrors in the doors I could see in. The hotel has a revolving front door with an accessible door to the side and front desk staff were on it treating me like a queen when I arrived or left the hotel and never left me waiting. Always making sure everything was ok and checking in on me. I need to thank Fotios Savva at guest relations because they really were the highlight of my stay and made me feel like if I needed anything they’d be right there to help me out. Shoreditch was pretty accessible and amazing place to explore. I hope to stay here again.
