The location can't be beat in the middle of the downtown action! We like to note to future guests that this is a popular area (especially on the weekends) and the noise level on the Downtown Mall may be higher particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Beautiful apartment. Very clean. Very well furnished. Excellent location if you’re wanting nearby shops and restaurants. Parking lot right behind building. Air conditioning made comfortable stay during heat of summer. Be prepared to walk up three floors of stairs. No elevator in building. I would gladly stay here again if I return to Charlottesville.
My wife amd I came up from nc to visit uva and had an amazing time. The apartment was beautiful and the area was amazing. We couldnt believe we were staying on the downtown mall. Very happy with the aparment and the customer service.
Great property. Roomy. Decorated beautifully. AC works well. Great location. We had no issues or problems with expected homeless population on Main Street mall. Included parking is a fantastic perk. 2 1/2 flights stairs not too bad.Be aware, historic building... floors are creaky. I think it adds charm. Booking process with the "Stay" management company part was a bit onerous (background checks, uploading id, etc) relative to other VRBO bookings I have made.
My wife and I visited Charlottesville to attend the Virginia Film Festival and the location of the Old Met was ideal. Located half a block from the Paramount theater, the Old Met offered a quick stop between shows for a rest, snack, or nap. Awesome!
The Old Met was a beautiful old place in downtown C'Ville... having lived in town years ago it brought back many memories with the charming creaky floors, high ceilings, and period architectural detailing. It was a little tricky finding the place the 1st time, and even though the Mall was active at night, the bedroom was nice and quiet, and very comfy. I'd definitely stay there again!
Clean charming place - parking included - great location!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. You will be staying on the third / top floor with a restaurant on the first floor and residences on the top two floors. Not to be confused with the Old Met rentals that sit over the Old Met event space, this unit seemed like it would be a little quieter (we did not stay on a Friday or Saturday night though). The amenities were very welcome - parking included in the outdoor lot behind the building, and access to the “Common House” social club for co-working, dinner, lounge, etc. Just know where you are staying. The location of this property is fantastic for walking around and having direct access to the coffee shops, restaurants and stores that this part of Charlottesville has to offer. At the same time, the pedestrian mall will be loud and full of “interesting characters” until late in the night some nights and you can hear all the activity quite well from living room of this unit that overlooks the area. The bedroom of this unit however, is in the back and was much quieter (at least for us). Overall, a great stay for us. We would love to stay here again.

Nice apartment. Comfortable. Beautiful light. Has a piano for any musician out of town which is why we selected it.
The Charlottesville downtown mall is vibrant with shops and restaurants which would make it a great location with the exception of the number of homeless who congregate there. Too much noise and little to no police involvement to keep things quiet after 10 pm. Many unhealthy homeless people sleeping in the mall and in vestibules. It’s reality but not something you want to deal with on your vacation.
We enjoyed this apartment in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The apartment building was warm and had charming, old architectural details. The rooms were quite spacious, and the abundance of natural sunlight from the large windows was inviting. The piano added a fun touch. We were initially concerned about parking, but it was close, and we could actually see our car from a window in the unit.
It was so convenient to walk to some great bars and restaurants. The surrounding area definitely has a city feel but felt safe enough. It made for some good people watching. During the day we strolled into the local shops. We visited the nearby Trump winery which had beautiful views of the rolling countryside. We had a short drive to a concert at the John Paul Jones arena.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend and would recommend this special accommodation for your visit, especially if you want to be close to a lively area of Charlottesville.
