"Evangelyn" is a very clean, well maintained ground floor apartment located at 218 West Arctic. This rental is considered oceanfront, however you do have to cross a very quiet, one way road to access the two different beach entrances directly across the street. "Evangelyn" is one of 3 units in a private home. There is one unit upstairs and two smaller units downstairs. "Evangelyn" has two bedrooms and one full sized bath. Bedroom one has a Queen sized bed, closet and dresser. Bedroom two has a queen size bed with a closet and dresser. Beds are prepared with 100 % cotton sheets. This rental has a fully equipped kitchen for all of your cooking needs, a full sized washer/dryer, Comcast Wifi, Flat Screen TV, DVD player and Direct TV service. There is a picnic table located directly outside for outdoor seating and dining. This is a wonderful and inviting space for guests to kick back and relax. Located less then two blocks away from restaurants, shops and the pier, yet on the quieter west side of Folly. Great location and value! Wonderful for an individual, couple, two couples or small family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is just a few steps from the beach entrance and walking distance to the main street in town. Fun area, great eats and relaxing beach!
Excellent location! Pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. The apartment was great. Plenty of room for four adults. Appreciated the laundry facilities.
As frequent Folly Beach visitors I can honestly say this place was the BEST! The host/hostess were wonderful. The house itself had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. The location was perfect. Being at the beach access and just a short walk to everything in town was all we wanted. I know we'll be back!
You can’t get any closer than right across the street from the beach. Close enough to walk to everything in town and on the pier, but far enough away from the car and foot traffic. The home was exactly as described and very cozy, comfortable, and clean! Appreciated the full kitchen so we didn’t have to go out to eat all the time and the In home laundry. Trying to figure out when I can return To Folly Beach and stay here again.
You only take a few steps and you are on the beach! It is convenient to the town of Folly Beach with many very good restaurants and the Pier area. You can walk to town in less than 10 minutes. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked with everything you would need, and there was good TV reception. This is a good value for the money. Give it a try! You will be glad you did!
Lovely and quaint apartment. Easy to book and easy to communicate with the owners. Wonderful beach access right across the road. Easy commute to downtown Charleston. We hope to come back and stay. Highly recommend!
Quant, clean and cozy 2 bedroom close to everything. Beach is a 2 minute walk. Downtown is a 5 minute walk.
Great price right in the heart of Folly Beach.
This is our second year staying here and the property is perfect for us. We don't like being inside much so it provides the minimal support we need, while being literally across the street from the beach and a few short blocks from town! It's so easy to come in and out and the beds are really comfortable. We will be back :)
It was a perfect spot for us. While some repairs need to be fone (hello we were there the end of July, can you say beyond busy time!) the house clean and perfect for us. It was a short walk to the beach and very doable carrying a chair even with a bum knee. No steps to climb was a very great added benefit for us "older" ladies😁 The only thing missing was a view of the ocean but for the price we paid, we understood that limit. The dunes were pretty though. It was a great stay!
Overall nice place to stay and the location to the beach and shops is perfect! We suggest providing more beach chairs, we had to purchase 2 of our own and leave them there. Provide better outside eating area, provide charcoal grill would be nice along with an outdoor umbrella. We recommend updating the bathroom and kitchen area. We recommend replacing front door and if possible add a screen door. All around we enjoyed our stay and look forward to being back next year!!
This property was perfect for my daughter grandson and myself. It was an easy walk to the beach for the toddler. It was clean and communication was great. Highly recommend.
Dianne was great to work with. We had a small lighting issue and she had it resolved very quickly. She came out herself to assess it. The book in the house was a great tool with everything. Captain Michael took us out to Morris Island and we had a great time. We will definitely be back to stay here again. The beach access was right across the street. We walked to downtown for dinner every night.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying here! It was very clean and conveniently located to the beach and shopping and entertainment! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Lynn who was extremely kind and welcoming! We will be back!
I have stayed at Evangeline before with family & kids, so I knew that it was the perfect place for my girlfriend and I to have a quick, last minute Folly visit this time around. The home was as before, clean/tidy and comfy. The location is one of the best; across from the beach, in the quiet area but still a short walk from everything such as Center St, pier, restaurants & shops.
Great location. The only minor negative is that there was a lot of construction going on that we were not aware of. One of the construction truck's battery died and we ended up having to jump their truck - no problem, so a lot of extra activity with the construction.
We loved our stay though and would definitely return.
over all good, a few things needs to be addressed. the (up stairs) neighbor t.v. could be heard (clearly) from the door that was bolted and locked (leading upstairs). the entire place needs a fresh coat of paint, the bathroom vanity needs to be replaced.
