The White Lion
10/10 Excellent
"Charming old manor house built in the 1700s. We actually had the room the was formerly the stables! So cute and endearing! Single lane road covered with trees. Great for walks. A beautiful church and old cemetery behind the house. A Pub and a restaurant. Gorgeous new bathroom. As for amenities I did not give 5 stars due to lack of places to put a suitcase and cosmetics. Pedestal sinks look nice but they don't offer place to even set a toothbrush."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large, which is a nice change compared to other hotels we've stayed at. Room had a coffee machine and a selection of complementary coffee pods. Also had a fridge with free milk and water."

"Lovely old and fascinating English house in a beautiful setting, near to lots of interesting places. We enjoyed the breakfast which was efficiently served in a characterful room. Our bedroom was comfortable. We were disturbed by mosquitoes in the night and I was bitten. We had to close the windows but found a fan which helped cool us down and deterred the mosquitoes further. We would have liked to have had a later breakfast especially as it was Sunday . Although the breakfast service was very good, one of the staff was telling other guests to think of her as she had ten rooms to clean. This made us feel a bit guilty as obviously ours was one of them. Otherwise a very nice stay."

"A beautiful charming holiday lodge equipped with everything you need. A stunning setting set within a quaint little village, lovely scenery, walks and sone exquisite little pubs serving good food and wine with a very welcoming atmosphere.Cheryl and Matt are lovely, a lovely welcome hamper of local bread, milk and fruit. Helpful, friendly and nothing is too much.Highly recommended and my words do not do it justice, you must visit x"
