The hotel and rooms were nice, more or less what we expected. The staff, however, were incredibly helpful in every way. I would certainly choose to stay here again if/when I return to Argentiere.

Amazing location in the heart of town. And despite its proximity to the Main Street, the noiseproofed windows were very effective. The manager on duty was very friendly and helpful. That being said, this is an old building and the decor and finishes are very dated. Also, although they are willing to accommodate vegans at dinner, the food was TERRIBLE with no seasoning whatsoever and the attitude of the waitstaff was rather dismissive. Oh, and the WiFi is dreadfully slow!

Stayed here during the TMB hike. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the trail, but we absolutely loved our night in Argentiere. The staff was ridiculously gracious and helpful, including giving us tape and a box so we could ship back unnecessary belongings to our starting place.

The owner Bernard his wife and all the staff were the nicest friendly people you could ever hope to meet. They even surprised my wife with a bottle of champagne on her birthday. Will definitely be returning next year.

Well preserved character hotel w/ excellent Lobby, lounge, har and restaurant. Lovely 'old school' front desk gave excellent advice on where to walk..even borrowed sticks.

Reception very organised for late night arrival. Very friendly staff happy to share information. Hotel nice and clean and warm. The single room was compact but had a kettle and tea & coffee. A bonus after a hard day skiing was a bath. Its about a 10 min walk to the lifts so best tohire skis and boots from skiset by the lifts and walk there in your boots.

Skip Chamonix, stay in Argentiere
This central hotel is my favorite in Argentiere -- an easily reachable neighbor town to Chamonix. For a small town feel with all the services (tourist office, frequent buses, frequent trains, grocery store, sports supply stores, boot stores, cafes, restaurants, bars, lectures, concerts, walks, festivals) this town close to the Swiss border has everything. Skip the crowds of Chamonix. The restaurant has good wines and a fabulous beef menu (beef cheeks.....) along with other regional favorites. Breakfast at the hotel is plentiful and varied. Nearby patisserie and regional foods shops for snacks and lunches. Staff were wonderful for us and helped arrange (and explain) transport options. Ask for the transport card which hotel clients can use for free train and bus travel in the valley

Beautiful nest in Chamonix valley!
Simple, elegant, aesthetically beautiful and relaxing - that’s how we would like to summarise our experience at this hotel located in the quaint and beautiful village of Argentiere, in the Chamonix valley. With less then a minute walk from the bus and train station and some very nice restaurants, the hotel is extremely well located. The icing on the cake however was the hospitality of the hotel staff which went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay for us. Mr.Bernard dropped us at the Argentiere train station in his car because we had quite a lot of luggage. Madam Melanie with her charming smile ensured a warm welcome each day after our return from hikes in the mountains. We would strongly recommend this place to anybody and we look forward to returning to it ourselves sometime in the future. Milind and Asha Agnihotri, Pune, India.

Everything you would hope for
Recommended by a friend who is a very experienced skier/climber and it didn’t disappoint. This is a traditional hotel with somewhat tired decor but great staff and convivial atmosphere. We forgot to ask for an earlier breakfast and they were most accommodating of us starting before they had put everything out. Rooms were comfortable (coloured bath suite very authentic) AND tea and coffee, yes , in a French hotel! I informed them we had complete our PACS (civil partnership) that morning and they gave us an upgrade to a lovely room with two doors into a balcony and stunning views of the mountains, would have been worth paying the extra.

Heritage charm and modern comfort.
This hotel combines heritage charm and modern comfort. Impeccable, great location and very friendly staff willing to make your stay a memorable one. You can't ask for more. I went with my two daughters for a three-day ski trip. I could park the car in the area. Lovely lobby and common areas.

Pleasant Stay
I was there with my husband for the weekend. the Staff is amazing, very cordial people, always willing to help with anything. The hotel is very well located, with pharmacies, supermarkets and excellent restaurants and bars within short walk. The only problem I found was that the heating of the room was too hot, and we weren't able to control the temperature, and also the WiFi connection was kind of weird... we had to reconnect to the network every time we returned to the hotel, which I found a bit annoying, but overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Great Value - recommended
A very functional hate and brilliant value for the money. Owners really care about their guests. I would recommend to family and friends wanting a stay in Argentiere where the primary objective is a good night's sleep and a place to stash your kit bag you are out skiing all day. Right in the centre of town with car parking. can't go wrong!

A reasonably priced hotel in a great location.
I went to Argentiere to ski and the hotel, staff, room and views of the Alps were all terrific. Bernard and Chantal were lovely at reception and all of the staff were great. Terrific and generous breakfast. Very close to the bus and train. I had a room with a balcony and beautiful views of the valley and mountains. The room was space with 2 comfy chairs, desk and a good sized bathroom.
