Overall, we had an excellent stay in Chamonix at the Lyret II. I debated between five and four stars but given the value for money, decided 5 stars are merited despite a few very minor irritants. We loved the location in that it is a short walk to the main street and different coffee shops in the morning. The apartment is clean, the beds and pillows were comforted, and the modern shower, dishwasher and washing machine, heated towel rack were a bonus. The views were wonderful. Unfortunately the rooms are smaller than the pictures and the main bedroom isn’t spacious enough for a queen bed. There are two single beds pushed together which meant that my husband’s feet (who is 6 feet) hung off the end of the bed. Some additional hooks on backs of doors could have been very helpful as would a couple of extra pillows, and updated cushion covers which have holes. The little decorative touches in the pictures e.g. tray and blue cushions on bed are were not there but the welcome bottle of wine was appreciated. We also loved having a parking spot and the check-in process and responsiveness from Happy Rentals was excellent. Overall, while the building itself is very average, I’m not sure you can get better value if you’re looking for a two bedroom with kids.

Family trip to Chamonix
We were grateful to check in early so we didn’t have to pay to store luggage. The apartment was clean and beds are comfortable. The location in regards to our ski rental, bakery, and Du Midi station was perfect. As a family of 5 we found the kitchen lacking. The apartment only had two drinking glasses and one wine glass. It also did not have a kitchen towel, washcloth, or dish soap. The company did fix a clogged drain after the shower flooded the bathroom, but failed to provide new clean towels after we cleaned it up.
This was a lovely and clean apartment in a great location. We appreciated that the toilet was separate from the shower, and that there was a washing machine, although our clothes did not dry in time to wear them the next day...so you have to think ahead. Everyone was comfortable here and we had a great stay.
Our stay in Chamonix was short but memorable. The apartment was close to everything so no need for a car. It was comfy and had everything we needed. The mini washer and dishwasher were extremely quiet.
Appartement bien placé, calme malgré le fait que le train passe devant les fenêtres (pas la nuit) et moderne. Le linge de toilette fourni (il y en a même trop, on ne sait pas où le mettre compte tenu de la taille de l'appartement) et le ménage de fin de séjour inclus sont un vrai plus. En revanche, le point négatif de cet appartement est le manque d'équipement (pas de table basse, pas de chevets, pas de petites assiettes, 1 seule grande casserole, 1 seule grande poêle, vaisselle trop grande pour le lave-vaisselle), dommage...
