Accepted Answer

For solo travellers seeking cheap hotels in Chambéry, the areas around the city centre and the train station offer the best value and convenience. These spots provide easy access to public transport and a good selection of budget-friendly accommodation options.

Staying near the city centre means you are within walking distance of many of Chambéry's main attractions, like the historic Château de Chambéry and the charming Old Town with its narrow streets and fountains. The area surrounding the main train station (Gare de Chambéry-Challes-les-Eaux) is another excellent choice for budget accommodation. Here, you'll find a concentration of hotels that cater to travellers looking for practicality and good value.
