"This hotel is up very steep roads and driveway. If you don’t have transport you might want to consider staying elsewhere. It’s a beautiful old building which, in my opinion, has been ruined by laminate flooring in rooms/shower rooms. In the shower room it is difficult to reach the toilet paper whilst seated, behind you and to the left. There is little space to put your toiletries in there and the towel rail is too high for someone who is 5ft 2in. No shower caps are provided but the toiletries provided by the hotel were very nice. We ate in the bar the first evening and found staff weren’t the friendliest. We had burgers which were ok but dessert was very disappointing. My husband ordered apple pie and custard which came with a spoon of custard, a spoon of ice cream and a squirt of cream. What’s that about? I had parfait which was tasteless and the base was dry sponge. There were small black insects flying around and trying to get at the food and drink. I won’t stay at this hotel again. "

"IDEAL location. 5 minute walk to everything. Main st, good restaurants, supermarket and only about a minute walk to the airport. "

"Room was clean. Check in was wonderful. Parking was ample. WOuld have given a 10, but the walls were a little thin--I could hear the guy next door snoring and a TV in the distance."
